I'm thinking of picking up a GC as soon as tomorrow.
A couple that haven't stopped breathing might now be thinking "why the change of heart ?"
The most obvious reason is that I have flu right now so chances are its the words of a sick bloke ranting.
The other is that I've been laying in bed thinking back to games I played such as Metroid and Zelda and how there are times I'd like to play them again (but of course in they're new forms). Afterall, at the end of the day I am a gamer, not a fanboy and I've grown up with Nintendo games.
I might also look into a Gameboy Advance SP towards the end of the month with some of the classic Snes games that are out or coming out.
If I get a GC, this is what I'm thinking of grabbing...
Black GC
Extra controller (black of course)
Resident Evil
Resident Evil Zero
Mario Sunshine
Advanced scart lead (for best pic and sound quality)
Then of course I'll pick up Metroid Prime and Zelda as they come out. Don't need a memory card as I have the one from when I had the GC before. Anyway, thats the current thing going through my head.
Blame my credit card taunting me while I'm ill for this happening.
Right, well I'm off to ponder more on this and decide on how I'm going to pay for it all if I decide to go shopping tomorrow.
*plans how to get all the games I want......bank?....Securicor van?.......er...or, maybe......happy shopper?*
Now theres an idea.....
:)
I know it seems like I'm rushing through my games, but I just wanna get the Resi games done so they're not left half done. Its one of those games where you need to know what you've done and what you need to do next - otherwise you just end up starting again. ;-)
Games like Mario Sunshine, I don't mind doing in bits and Prime will be getting plenty of my time. ;-)
"How many games I still have to complete and how quick I have to do it before the new ones are released"
thread.
Finally found all 89 discoveries in Skies of Arcadia, now I just need to acheive Legend status and finish the final area.
I hadn't heard about a new Pokemon Stadium, just that there was going to be a 3D Pokemon game for the GC, that required a linkup with the GBA version.
I was happy to find that Harvest Moon is coming to both GC and GBA - me thinks I'll be grabbing those. Also, another Pokemon Stadium game is in the making for the Sapphire and Ruby games which could look damn good on the GC.
So those will be my latest additions to my GC wants list.
I better start my Resident Evil game properly tonight and get a move on if I want it cracked by Friday. ;-))
I've already reserved my Silver SP and Zelda from WHSmiths, costs in total about £110-20, which I have in cold, hard, cash tucked away in my wallet. Well it's not all cash, £40 of it is vouchers, and if it cost £125 I can always delve ito my award points which is nearly £6.
Doing this I have not got enough money for Sonic Mega collection, Rayman 3, and maybe the PSO and Modem adapter. Damn.
Anyway, no point in getting too involved in it, we'll find out when it comes out. ;-)
In Resi games you always arrive after everything has happened, and you just investigate what happened there. For the game to finish, you're going to have to kill the people who run Umbrella, you'll have to fight humans instead of just zombies.
So could this mean the last few games would be more like FPS? Because the system in place is impractical for fighting humans, gun fights just arne't going to work with the current method. They've already taken the first steps towards this, with full analouge control and stuff for resi 4 it might play more like Duke Nukem on the N64, a 3rd person shooter rather than a 'clumsy' survival horror type game.
It will be interesting to see how Capcom deal with it...if they ever end the series that is.

It seems to be actualy in Umbrella Corp.
I'd love a more freeform Resi game, in the city.
