Freeola is planning an ADSL launch in the new year. I would appreciate it if could post any comments as to what you'd like to see with this service.
If you are having a particularly good or bad time with an existing provider then tell us what impresses or annoys you and we'll try and incorporate as much as possible into our own offering.
What do you currently pay and is it monthly, quarterly or all up-front.
Does your current provider block certain ports?
Does it go very slow at night?
Look forward to reading your comments.

Huzzah! All you need is software to update your IP when you connect, Windows versions exist - try download.com. I run it here, go to http://turbonutter.2y.net/ and you'll get my server. It forwards all ports, so you could get FTP on 21, SSH on 22, telnet on 23, MySQL on 3306, etc. You can also get software to update domain names that you host, although best ask Luke on that one, it's not quite as simple.
At the moment I've paying £15 for BT line rental and then £14 for freeserve anytime. If an adsl service comes out for roughly the same price or a little bit more then I'd consider it.

if the adsl provided gives u a dynamic ip addy, are there any free and easy ways to still host ur own site - i cud write a php script that would refresh a page every 5 seconds and upload my ip addy to the internet to redirect it to my pc, but there must be an easier way....
The Web Space is a pain, they should really make more of a user-friendly system, or explain their current system more so.
I use Freeola for my Sites and E-mail anyway, so for an Extra £6 a month (I'm assuming Freeola ADSL will be £29.99 a month) it would make sence and life easier to use the same provider for Connecting, E-mail and WebSpace.
I think Pipex are good, but they do lack a little in the Web Space area.
I have to say that a lot of people complain about there webspace, but I never use mine (use my server or luke's, or upload to domains that are hosted with other people). It's dirt cheap to get hosting and a domain name now, so if you need it you may as well pay a little bit of cash, I've seen domains for £3-4 a year and hosting for £12, so your sorted for £15 a year.
Enough moaning, I just want to ask, will the set-up for Freeola ADSL work in the same way as the current dial-up?? I.E. The control pannel, the usernames and E-mail Addresses etc???
Also, any closer to launch?
