I know there is already a champ man thread but i thought a new one should be made for the new champ man!!

Been playing a few games, first one with Man Utd and another with Celtic.
Just trying to get to grips with the training, tactics and decent players etc.
Rooney is impressive at Man Utd but it took a hefty wage package to get him.
Trying to get Ronaldinho too but PSG wont let him go for what I offer.
Just started with celtic to see how the scotland game runs and to also see how it differs from using a big club like Utd
Got Duff on Loan for the season quite cheaply. Also tempted to sell Larson to try get more funds
Game is great fun but I have little time to play most days with uni and then uni work to get done.

Well you could tell him not to make forward runs and give him a defensive frame of mind. But I myself like to swarm the midfield, so I like my right and left backs to go forward and support my wingers.

i dont like having my defenders going up as they always seem to mever get back and leae gaps for the opposition

It's fantastic, now I know what I am doing. So far, I have won UEFA Cup with Rangers, but I only came second in the Premier League to Livingston(!) Celtic were a lowly 4th.
I have bought Aghahowa, Shunsuke Nakamura(sp?), Emre, Giggs, Miccoli, Pavon, Morientes who is comfortably the best player, Nakata, Okocha, Mostovoi and Ivan and Oscar Cordoba.
Beat Juventus and Lazio so far, but only drew with Manchester Utd in a friendly.
Any suggestions of good players to buy? My only good defenders are Pavon and Ivan Cordoba, and my right and left backs, Ricksen and Bonnisel are awful compared to the rest of the team. Was thinking about O'Shea for the future, but I'm worried, as his stats aren't great.
Next I am going to go for Raul, Del Piero or Nedved, but i don't really need them, just as a luxury buy.
