What I am doing at the moment is starting a game with any team, resigning and then going on holiday. Come back from my holiday in early February and try to take one of the bottom three teams in the premiership to safety.

First Season with Stevenage I finished 4th and got into playoffs final but lost.

End of the season i mess around with traning and end up finishing the 2nd season in 10th. I realised at the end of the season that i had my whole team following the training scheldule i had set up for my strikers! doh!

Should be sorted this season though.

Plently of pointers to decent players, how to train and what tactics work well.
Loads of info, ideas and help.

For training create schedules for each position
Attackers, Midfielders, defensive mid, defenders

Then assign coaches to these.

For tactics just make sure your team and player instructions suit each player and the style you are playing.

yep, I think from the start you need to sort out training, coach allocation to training and tactics (get a few different ones and save them)
If you do all this early on it save troubles later with poor tactics and crap training.

Sign a few coaches if need be.

There are a few decent forums out there were people upload their tactic files and show what training they use.
best I have found is www.cm4rums.com

I really can't get my head around the tactics and training side of this game. It takes me long enough to get to matches and I really don't have the time to spend on fiddling around with training. The problem is, I keep losing. Very frustrating. Damn my 450 to hell!

Freddy Adu
13 year old who with the right training and coaching could easily be a quality attacking midfielder.

Just realised how important the training and tactics and general running of the club is compared with previous versions. Seems after a few games of the same old tactic (Unless your team is great at it) your oponents will recognise (from studying your previous few games) were you are strong and where you suffer.

So you need to keep changing a few areas.

Also with the training it is easier to improve a lot of players with a custom schedule.

Been trying to find some Up and comming talent.
Scmeichel's kid at man city could be a promising player for the future....
