Tekken 4: Playstation 2

Tekken has been a huge gaing experience to many. it has had many different sequels all with newer backgrounds, FMVs and ameplay. Now However we have something more exciting. The return of Kazuya. i beleive this would be a great game just by watching the FMV in which it shows the return of this mad person full of anger.

Its Not Just him but many new characters are also coming out and with the gameplay getting better and better it may actually rival out its competitors such as Dead Or Alive (DOA) and Virtua Fighter. Dead or Alive has been out for some time now and still in the Top charts in Most countries. The gameplay was really fun with the background being altered by the opponents as they fight and this added realism to the game.

It really is a great game i mean compare Tekken to Tekken 4 When realeased and just see the difference for yourselves. a Truly Awsome Fighter it is. The only draw back of all Tekken games to me was the speed of characters. It was just so Slow. Hoever if they ever realise and create the game woth the speed of Dead Or Alive (which was a fast game) i beleive it would be so awsome it would definitly prove for number 5!!!!

SO SOLID SNAKE

As we are all aware, the next Metal Gear Solid episode is probably one of the most awaited games of all time. Seemingly put back forever, Metal Gear Solid 2 will eventually see a European launch in February and from information on its plot and characters, it looks like there will be more than a few shocks in store.

The one major hint given by the developers is that there will be more than one playable character, allowing them to concentrate on more than just the famous Snake, or does it? They remind us that Solid Snake is just a code name after all. Whatever happens, there will be many games players enthralled by the sneaky antics of Snake and co. early next year.

DO YOU KNOW WHATS IN YOUR BACK GARDEN?

Pikmin sounded like the most surprising surprise of the year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. Miyamoto's latest project has you taking the role of a little weird alien who had crash-landed on a massive green planet, inhabited by the PIKMIN!!!. The aliens ship had split into million and millions of pieces, and with the help of these little Pikmin, the aliens ship is going to be rebuilt, but all of his/her ship is scattered over a vast region of this strange planet. Escape seems impossible in this giant adventure, with evil lurking around every single corner of the planet in the form of spiders and bugs and birds. Primarily, the image of Pikmin is seen as these minute carrots with eyes and legs but you only see the heads popping out of the ground. But by whistling, these Pikmin pop out of the ground on command and encircle his aura. The areas in this game seem vast, yet as the team you create travel around the continental landscapes, under 100 Pikmin are under the little aliens control. Commands involve making your Pikmin attacking specific objects, like walls, bugs or spiders - but the creatures fight back, the you might loose a few. Everyone has his or her own unique personality as the game gets continuously played. A good game like this means that only one Pikmin won't survive - build up the team and the world might be yours if you can conquer every bug. Or you could just get your ship pieces. Targeting a wall will see the Pikmin (you can allocate as many or as few as you want to) bound, destroy, and pound it Lemmings-stylely until it eventually crumbles. On one video on the Internet, we see 100 Pikmin bullying a huge spider. I almost felt sorry for the evil beast, as it became covered in a swarm of coloured bodies - but once again, Shigeru Miyamoto has done well. The game play looks near perfect, and the photo-realistic textures (straight from Miyamoto's own back garden!! - apparently) make it pure eye-candy to be gobbled with every pleasure. As with several of their other games, Nintendo has only scratched the surface, and there’s bound to be so much more to the games of this genre.

Yeah. Future.

Hurry - Harry Potter to Gamecube! Hurray!
by Firebalt.

Yesterday, Electronic Arts, publisher of such greats as the Fifa series, announced today that they would indeed be publishing Harry Potter for the Gamecube in 2002.

There has been just about Harry Potter everything at the moment, and finally, EA and Nintendo have gone weak at the knees and given in to the pressure they have been recieving and gone ahead in announcing that Harry Potter will be coming out on the Gamecube in 2002. The game will be based around his capers at Hogwarts' school, where you will step into the shoes of the strapping lad. There have been rumours circulating that EA reportedly paid up to $30 million to have access to the rights of Harry Potter. British company, Eurocom also claim to be "greatly involved" in the project. EA have also said that before it is released on the Gamecube, there will be a title on the PS2.

Stay tuned!

Gamespy Grapple the Great Microsoft
by Firebalt.

Online gaming tycoons, Gamespy have now decided to throw their online support to the X-Box, we have been informed.

The makers of Gamespy Gaming Arcade have now officially announced that they will be assisting Microsoft in their plea to make it the most "interactive" console in the market. A few games already announced for Gamespy are Halo, Nascar Heat 2002 and Tony Hawks 2x. Microsoft and Gamespy have suggested the following system requirements:

- An Xbox, of course.
- A supported game.
- A broadband connection (at least 128 kbps). Gamespy also noted that Halo could require up to 256kbps, and that anything less will lead to lag and disconnection problems.
- A supported network configuration. You must be able to use the same Local Area Network for your Xbox as you are your PC.

This collaboration of forces is welcomed by fans, but presents a serious threat to Sony and Nintendo, who have not yet announced who is providing them with online play, if they even have arranged that yet.

Stay tuned!

All-in one entertainment X-Box is now about gaming only, or is it?

At a recent investment conference in Phoenix CEO of Microsoft (Steve Ballmer), revealed that they had originally intended the X-Box to be a ‘set-top’ box style device. This device would have been able to play games, give interactive television, connect to the internet and perform certain PC functions. But however it seems that after talking with game publishers, that idea was changed because they said “Get outa Dodge, we're not going to write software for that thing.”

So Microsoft went away for a year then came back to the game publishers and said right we are going to start off by building the worlds greatest video games machine. But it is no secret like the Playstation 2 , that it is a home entertainment hub as well as video games machines. The X-Box still has its hard drive, its Ethernet and DVD capabilities, and Microsoft still want to introduce additional functionality for the platform.

So is it really just a games machine that can play DVD’s like the Playstation 2, or do they have something else planed that they are going to suddenly announce once the machine is distributed. Only time will tell.

ahh......

Console and computer games. Nothing like them. From the sad 2 d graphics of space invaders with the computer the size of your house to the x box and this 'Gamecube' I keep hearing about. However, in the middle things happened. Gaming history changed. Sega rose, kept there and then when all was well, sony realeased there beast. The playstation 2. . Nintendo created a craze which lasted five years (in Japan). Pokemon. For some, Pokemon still lives on. Anyway, I say, if it's fun do it. The Megadrive is fun (isn't it?). I beleave it's not war, not as bad, but just a big game.
