Sorry I know this is pretty cack but I thought it'd be interesting to see everyones 10 favourite Pokemon. :-)
Ok, my list is in no particular order and this list is about picking your favourites - as in their looks and general abilities in battles. So don't go thinking you have to pick 10 that would make a well balanced - they can be all fire types if your favourites tend to all be that type. :-)
Anyway, heres mine (some of you might not know some of these as they're in Sapphire and Ruby)...

01. Pikachu
02. Steelix
03. Aggron
04. Kyogre
05. Lugia
06. HellHound (name right ? basically the one that looks like a doberman in gold and silver)
07. Charizard
08. Duskull
09. Tropius
10. Arbok

Well okay that was a lie, I actually have 5 little Pokemon cuddly toy things, but I got them cheap when I bought my GBC and Pokemon Red in New York.

Its ashame the big kids craze got it labelled as a game purely for kids over here. Of course theres plenty of us who play the game that are older, but I think we'd all be agreed on the general publics overall view of the Pokemon games.

But while I'm slating the merchandise for doing this, I have to admit that my gf did have to put up with me walking through a Florida mall with a big Pikachu. ;-)) She was ok with my buying it though. ;-))

Yeah. Pokémon started off as an RPG.
Made it big in Japan and sparked off a huge franchise.

At first they thought it was so Japanese, they didn't dare release it in the west. Then when they did... :-D

The main series of RPG's were always good, even if the spin-off franchise was annoying. Same with most games.

I though the whole thing was based on marketing and TV, and creating a card game that you had to collect an ever increasing range of cards, in order to play properly.

No?

We're all getting far too old to remember new things.

I seem to recall that the first pokemon games weren't actually that childish, and it was a proper R.P.G, untill it turned childy with merchandise and T.V.

Am I right?

I like Mewtwo, I don't really know many of them.

Do like some of the characters designs alot, especially the darker more sinister ones.

I did really enjoy Pokemon Snap though, as a weird, fun, completely different, lightweight game to play through and forget about.

Never bothered with any other Pokemon game.

One thing though, defeating the Hand on SSBM is so very easy with Pikachu's lightning move.
