Morrowind is a fantastic RPG if you have the time for it.

So, I decided after looking at this thread, it needed editing.

Morrowind discussion, discuss about Morrowind.

Pretty straight forward really.

Tell us your Morrowind storys, cool stuff you've done ect.

I'm a dark elf. A crusader. I'm currently at level 1.(I got it a few days ago). I was born under The Shadow, so i can go invisible. I'm a member of the Theives gulid, the fighters guild, the Mages guild and the Imperial cult.

I'm a Breton because they're good with Magic and I'm always a Gandalf or Jedi kind of character when I play games like this. He wears a green, common robe which looks kind of good and some brown leather boots. I've got two rings - healing and theives, and he has blond hair with a ponytail. He carries a silver staff.

Specialisation: Magic
Favoured Attributes: Intelligence / Luck
Major Skills: Destruction / Alteration / Acrobatics / Unarmoured / Blunt Weapon
Minor Skills: Illusion / Mysticism / Security / Marksman / Speechcraft

Amazing! I really love RPGs and the fact that this is so open-ended means it could well be the best game I've ever played. It's by far the greatest game on Xbox.

I doubt I've done anything spectacular compared to you guys.

I've done virtually everything on Morrowind except the Telvanni Guild missions and the Redoran Guild missions.

My last character was something like Level 80 and was a master of all the magic skills and was decked from head-to-toe in self-enchanted "Constant Effect" gear.... basically he was invincible.

The best bit of the game for me was the Morag Tong missions - the assassins. I took my user name on here from the book outlining their philosophy "The Black Glove".

I'm going to start a new game soon, but I've played it so much [hundreds of hours] that I need a little break :)

Firstly Morrowind is an RPG, a game based on stats. RPG's are not every gamers cup of tea, they require a lot of thought and time. As far as RPG's go, Morrowind is probably the best(IMO) around. Morrowind is very open ended and to the more simple gamers it may be quite a challenge to play a game that requires map reading!

Some folks on this forum have said it takes at least 30 hours to enjoy the game, I can confirm that this is entirely untrue, I enjoyed it right from the start, although at the lower levels the morrowind world can be quite daunting. For non-rpg players who want a quick bash, they may give up as they find the fairly slow gameplay and daunting game world a bit too much.

Methinks if you had given morrowind a better chance, and played on and actually learnt how to play the game you would enjoy it!
Or if you really are against RPG's, then simply morrowind isnt a game you would love.

Full ebony and daedric armor, daedric armor is enchanted with constant chameleon.
Elite Claymore (Crappy name for a daedric claymore enchanted with drain health and blind every strike)

Plus i've used master trainers to get just about all my skills up to 100.
I have a constant supply of cash (Summon Golden Saint, kill, sell loot to talking mudcrab)

I think my current stockpile of cash is at least 200k.
A nice hlaalu stronghold, outfitted with the highest quality items. My desk has a full set of grandmaster armor hammers and alchemy set.
