It's the best Multiplayer RTS game there ever was. Simple as that. Released way back in 1997.

I can't compare it to Age of Empires, Starcraft of anything, because it's fundamentally different.

I'm stuck on the first mission of the second set (Venom Storm that is).

How to I get rid of the bridges round my island?

I can't use meltdown because it's for multiplayer only.
As is the priest's praying for destruction.

How do I destroy the bridges?

Acid Barricades: Very powerful. Used by a lot of good players. Although you can't see the connection (which is what really makes them so useful), you can look to see if the barrier generator is spinning. If it is, it's connected to something and you really have to watch out. I always get beaten by acid barricades :(

Strafex, yes - once you run out of level one tech to gain, you have to get level 2 or three tech instead - which you'll need a level 2 or three altar for.

Once you reach level 43 you've got all the tech. Most people stop here, and don't bother 'ranking up' as they see it as an unfair advantage..... more on that when you guys get there.

I had an intense game with Grix last night.
I won, but only just.
I was milliseconds away from having my priest sacrificed before his altar finally blew up...

By the way Starlight, the trick seems to be building lots of bridges and making as many out posts near Geezers as possible.

I've got one more tech to get until I've got the whole lot with the level 1 altar.
Will I have to get the level 2 altar in every game to get new tech after that?

Just played a game with Venom and some other high ranking players, just goes to show how fast they are at this and how slow I really am.

Naturally I got whupped, I lasted longer than Venom though who I then decided to pick on when he had already basically lost :-P

I just don't get how they build up such a force so quickly.

Oh and on Acid barriers how come you can't see the line that goes between the two like you can with the sun barriers?

It's a bug in the game. You're not supposed to be able to, but you can. There was a patch released so solve that, and a few other problems, but not many people use it.

I didn't think you could do that.

Don't you have to break the alliance first?

Always a good idea to sacrifice your allies first in a situation like that, else the game ends.

By the way Venom, remember when I couldn't upgrade the altar?
It was because there were no enemy priests left. You and your mate were set as my allies so I couldn't sacrifice them. That's why I couldn't upgrade the altar.
