In the past, Nintendo said they have a history of keeping there old consoles up to date with new games but there not making any games for the Nintendo 64, The origional gameboy and from 2004 i think, the Game Boy Colour. Now people might say that people are going to buy a new console but some people may not want to. I think the only company that is making games for there old consoles is sony.
So are nintendo going to eventually ditch the GBA?

I can't believe I'm replying to this, but hey...

No company in history has ever supported old products years after new ones come out, and the PS1's games will dry out eventually. Not that this has anything to do with Sony mind - Sony don't make the games, developers do. It's those developers who have decided that, because PS1 sales are still fairly high, then they can continue to sell games on the platform.

Meanwhile, the N64s sales are... err... non-existant. Why would Nintendo make games for the console when the GC is creating far more profit, and is their main hope for the future?

Game Boy will be around for many decades yet - especially seeing as it is the worlds best selling console.

GBA will eventually be ditched, but will be replaced by an even better Game Boy - obviously.

They won't ditch it completely, just like the GBC is still lingering.

Are we forgetting the excellent Perfect Dark and Goldeneye. And OOT is totally overrated. Only played it for 2 hours and got bored :|

*Awaits flaming* :D

And the GBA sucks major balls. Bring out a handheld that ACTUALLY has graphics that are the same as PS1 (32-bit my a**e). Better yet, one that can match the PS2, X-Box or GC (PC even).

Heh, imagine putting a GeForce FX into a handheld. Hehe. :D

Didn't attack the N64... best console ever. But it still doesn't have a large enough fan base to contine decent support.
