I played on the wind waker last night for a little bit and it struck me how camp Link looks and acts when cell shaded. The colours make him look like a small fat version of Hey Arnold. Also he runs and tiptoes around like a damn fairy - cell shading has killed the looks of the game I recon. If you check out the back of the game cover you see the wind waker graphics on the left and the ocarina of time graphics on the right - the graphics on hte right are far superiour and make Link look a bit less gay (even in the picture where he is playing the ocarina/eating a blue taco).

However the gold coloured disc and bonus disc are nice touches and the storyline and gameplay seems excellent so far. I honestly recon the graphics don't work but maybe cell shading is the way of the future. At the risk of sounding like a whiney old man, I shall flee now and prepare to be manhunted by all you Nintys.

It's RPGish.

;)

Well it's an adventure game anyway.

Yea, the graphics aren't great I know that, but as I've said before, the GTA games have never been popular due to graphics but it's the immersive gameplay that makes the games appeal to me.

But considering the size of the VC environment I think Rockstar have done pretty well for themselves, and I like getting into the hunter and just hovering, listening to the in-game radio watching the sunrise, it's these little details that I like so much.

Yes, but the graphics still aren't very good.

It's not an RPG.

The toonrendering graphics give the game a lot more life and help take away the 'boredom' factor that can sometimes crop up in RPG's.

As for the comments about Vice City though, I think the more realistic approach works well because it makes the game seem more gritty, just like gang warfare would be. The graphics reflect the style of the game. IMO.

I don't have Zelda. It doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Don't get me wrong it is a great game but I can't get over the fact that the graphics are simple primary colours. They are so basic and plain like a drawing by a P1. As you get older you learn how to mix colours and creat different tones etc but when you are young you simply use whatever is there and that is what the graphics remind me of.
