i kno this has been covered many times... but im thinkin of buyin an x-box... im not a gr8 fan of shooting or huge adventure games ... im more of a casual gamer and into sports, racings, beat-em ups, platfomers and quirky games... i get far to easily frustrated and in truth im not the best of gamers
most of x-boxs big games seem to be shooters.... if it stil worth buyin a console jst fgor the likes of jet set, ssx and the like?
dvd playback is a big feature as tat will be used jst as much.... i was wondering wat is the quality like?? has anyone had any problems?

All based on opinion. To me Panzar Dragoon is a nice looking but otherwise extremly dull game. I'd much rather have Monkey's in balls thanks.

A game you could get on Dreamcast for the half the price and without the dodgy dubbing, or a totally original game from the creator of Sonic?

Now Beach Spikers or JSRF? JRSF
That's like comparing chalk and cheese. Granted i'd rather have JEt Set Radio, but Beach Spikers is still a great game and almost as muh fun as virtua Tennis in multiplayer with 4 people.

Sonic Adventure with 8 bulit in Game Gear games, GBA link-up support, improved graphics, extra levels and quite a few other additions.
Or a really cruddy lightgun game with it's crusty predecessor built in that'll last you about 2 days then the early novelty of shooting things on your TV will wear off and you'll be left with a shallow and very dull game. Also the added addition that you have to buy a lightgun for £30 and with no new lightgun games coming out for a while, a bit of a waste of money really.
Oh and F-Zero will spank all the XBox Sega games with a big spanky stick thing.
Anyway enough of this "my game's better than yours" talk. I think you missed the reason for my list of games, I was trying to show you that Cube is actually getting a lot of Sega support as well, not saying it's better than Xbox's.

Xbox I think is the best console on the market. Im not a Xboxphile, but its the best.
You don't need to like shooters to make it worth while owning, the racing games are the best out there. PGR is unbelievably good. Jet Set Radio Future is awesome to. Its kind of quirky kind of platformery.
All the usual FIFA fames etc along with other sports franchises, i.e. NHL Hitz etc. And online gaming if you ever become a hardcore gamer.
DVD playback is very good quality.
Plus the Xbox makes for a great night with your mates. Beer, pizza and being better than them at games. Bliss.

Heh heh.
Most of those games you listed were really quite mediocre. I'm sure I'd have no trouble matching them with equal, if not better PS2 games.
The Yard Stick has changed but the likes of Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Virtua Tennis, Soul Calibur and Crazy Taxi 2 have all stood the test of time and even now they can stand up to the majority of games on the market and give them a good run for their gameplay ;)

The yardstick for measuring games now has changed of course, but back then many of the games just mentioned were groundbreaking.
The PS2 is the worst console I have ever owned without a dobut and mine was traded in within 6 months of getting one. The Dreamcast had/has:

If you can give me a list of games as good as that for the PS2 then I will be shocked. All of the games I have listed above are what I would class as much purchases and I know for a fact that the PS2 doesn't even have One 3rd of that quality. The Dreamcast is/was one of the best consoles ever and its a shame so many waited for the VERY disappointing PS2. Even now I still buy games for my Dreamcast, it is and always will be one of my favourite consoles.
