Bah.

If it weren't for the lump on my leg then right now I'd be sitting in a plane flying to Canada.

Balls.

Hmm. How well do you know the test route at the first choice place? For me, I wouldn't have been all that aware of the route if I were in my first choice place anyway...

Have you tried for cancellations everywhere or just at the one place?
After my test, I'd guess that so long as you're a reasonable driver you should actually be okay with a different area. And if you're not a reasonable driver you won't be passing at any centre!

One thing that almost caught me out - I'd never practiced driving into car park bays, but had to do it on my test.
If you don't know the test centre, I guess you won't be able to plan for that, so it's probably a good idea to give it a go beforehand.

So yeah, have a word with the instructor and decide where you're happy to take the test, then go for a cancellation for any of the centres you picked.

Oh, and christmas parties? Will she be drinking? If you can get other transport you'll have the choice of whether to. That way you can either get drunk together or be the only sober two, and thus spend time together (being sober around drunks is crap, no?)

I'll stop typing now, it's too hard not to make haloween jokes... :^p

Only 4 minors?? Nice one!! :D

What did I tell you, eh?! Driving in a place you've never been through before is only gonna make you more cautious and aware of what may lie-ahead of you. And I'm guessing you were relaxed and concetrating, too. ;)

I'm gonna have to have a word with my instructor to see if I can take my test somewhere else - provided I can get one before 3rd December...
This endless waiting's really starting to get to me, each-time I see her. And I'm having no luck getting a cancellation! :(

Halloween's coming up, and then it's Fireworks Night sraight after - two perfect occasions (well, maybe just one 'perfect'...) to spend some time with her and really have some fun... But due to the lowsy public transport in my area, and how I HATE getting a lift everywhere, I'm gonna fail-to-enjoy, this year! Then again... We're supposed to be having loads of people round on the 5th for the last 'big' party before we move-out just before Christmas. So, maybe one-day won't be so-bad....

But I HAVE to be able to drive before work's Christmas party! She'll be there, and I'll want to be there with her - it's the perfect chance for us to have a good time together, no matter who-else knows!

But if I can't drive, I may be unable to go.
I hate buses, Taxi's are expensive, and I don't wanna have to get a lift. :P

Finally getting the hang of college though, and all seems to be going well. One kiddy might be asking for a "slap" very soon (if he doesn't get kicked-off the course), but twice-a-week really ain't so bad.

I'll have to start looking for an Aprenticeship soon...
I could, possibly, do one where I work now (and that's my first-choice, obviously!), but it's only the 'bigger' companies that really tend to offer them, since they do more than just making gates and things...

I don't think there's a maximum for how many they can fail, but my instructor confirmed that there is a maximum number that can pass each day.

Does make sense in a way though, so long as you get the number right - that way if some examiner sucks and passes crap drivers, there's a limit on how many will slip through the net.

As for today's test? In an area I've never been to before, one which was full of roundabouts and speed cameras, I nailed it - 4 minors.

Although I almost messed up right at the end - I had to reverse into a space to finish the test, and one tyre was over the line (apparantly a failable offence), but I asked if I could pull forward to straighten up, the examiner told me to 'do whatever you need to', so I did, and passed :^S

So Yay!

Ah, skies. Might give it a second play-through before canada. I was newish to turn-based, but loved it all the same.

The 'new' girls? Go for it dude. Nothing will happen with the girl from work, not for a while at least, which gives you time to have some fun with a hot slightly younger lady.
And the girl at work will want you all the more for it too. It's a win-win situation.

I'd doubt there was some kind of 'limit' as to how-many students they can fail with in a single day, but you never know, with the way money makes the worlds go-around these days, and all that...

I've also had someone suggest the same thing to me, about how they always "HAVE to fail a certain number within a week-or-so" because of the increasing number of drivers causing problems on the roads, today.

I don't really want to believe it, but it has really got me thinking - especially now you've mentioned it...!

Could there really be more to this simple "Joke"...?
Still, I took my test second-thing in the morning, and still failed.

Skies of Arcadia Legends arrived on Saturday (thanks to TheGameXchange.com) and, although I don't usually go for the turn-based RPGs (aside from Paper Mario), I'm really getting into this one.
It may look and "feel" very-`Dreamcast´ when you play, but I can see how this game bears a resemblence to the likes of Zelda.

I got so-far in the temple trying to find the first Moon Stone, but then lost a battle, and remembered just why I've always tried to avoid turn-based RPGs with "Game Over" and the "Save Points"! :P

Ah well... That's how Gaming goes, a lot of the time!

But seriously, I can see this game becoming a real "Legend"!
Yes... "Legend" (or "Lege'", for short) is the new "Innit" and "Mint" of every 15-to-17-year-old's English vocabulary (that's the impression I get from College, anyway). And speaking of College, I've got it tommorow...

Getting up early in the freezing-cold to spend nearly an hour getting through rush-hour morning traffic in the city... To spend 9 hours getting "educated" and taking in the "sights" of all things young-and-beatiful in the canteen at lunchtime.... ;D

Heh, I've already got a few "looks" from one-or-two girls there (...even if they are only 16 or something)! So, if it doesn't work-out with girl-from-work (whenever I decide to get it "started"....), I could probably find something to do at college (....hang on! That came out wrong!! :S )

True, but that's the driving instructors' figures. The examiners work completely independently.

I have my penultimate lesson today, in an hour and a half. Hopefully I'll be.. capable by the end of it :^)
