No i dont believe that to be the case, on the contrary infact...

Most driving schools pride themselves by announcing in adverts just how high their pass rate is and in some instances you have to question whether they are passing some people in order to keep these figures high to attract persons who may have struggled to pass elsewhere.

Good luck with your test tommorow and if you can relax and take it easy then you should be fine... have faith in yourself and confidence in your ability, the best of luck to you.

Yeah, maybe it'll work like that.

My instructor told me today that I can't re-take the test within 10 days of failing, which means if I fail this one it'll definitely be 'it'.

He told me I should cancel it (though I'd lose the fee now) and try somewhere else.

But to be honest I can't be ashed. I've got loads of stuff on, so could only really do the test on one of three days, so that cuts my chances of getting a cancellation at all, then I still would only be able to get a vague idea for the route of whatever test I took.
So, I'll be taking it on monday, for better or worse.

I was talking to someone at work tonight - is it true that the test examiners are only allowed to pass a certain number each day? And if they've reached the limit then you fail however well you do?

Dr.Duck...

If you haven't been driving anywhere near this new test-centre before, then surely that gives you more of a reason to drive slowly, take-your-time, and be more aware of what's going on around you and what lies ahead - like the "Cautious Driver" the examiner wants to see...?

Good luck, again, anyway.
As long as you take-your-time and concentrate, you'll do fine. It really is amazing how-fast those 40 minutes do fly-by. Just think... It's ONLY 40 minutes - not even a whole-hour of driving in this "unknown" place.

And if you can do it there, you'll also feel confident of doing it anywhere! :)

And just out of interest, won't you need to take another test, over there, for getting your license to drive in Canada, anyway (that is, of course, if you do plan on driving)?

Anyway, enjoy it while your over there. It's good to get out and 'see-the-world' while you can. (I plan on going to Australia in a few years time when I've finished college and have got some money behind me.)

And, thanks -again- to CD-WOW!, my Matrix Reloaded DVD arrived this morning, on it's day-of-release! :D

At least I know have something to do on this rainy-day, seeing that I wouldn't want to be at work, if I had the chance (...even though she'd be there).

Didn't go to see this film when it came out in the cinema because I felt I looked into it too much, and didn't want to get caught-up in all the hype of the "best film ever!!!", and all that which was going on, then.

But I've forgotten it all now, and am now looking-forward to it. :)

I have *no* idea what I want to do when I leave college.. Something like Criminal Psychology might be fun though. Good luck for tomorrow.

Back from the dead huh? Yeah, how could I forget?

Bad day today. My driving instructor mentioned I should take my driving test appointment letter with me when I have my test. I couldn't find it, so phoned to get a new one (eventually managing to get through to the dvla).
But wait.. I had no test. Further checking... they'd started to apply for one, when I phoned to book the test, they'd told me it was booked and given me a reference number, but they'd actually NOT booked the test.

So we started checking for available dates in the couple of weeks before I go to Canada.
Nothing.
Until..

One test centre, about an hour from where I live, I don't know the area or the route, but they have vacancies tomorrow, the day after, all next week...
I was actually able to book one at exactly the same time as my original test.

So, phew, I do get to take my test. But, oh no, it's somewhere completely different, where I've never driven before, and for some reason nobody else in the world has chosen to take a test there.
I have a bad feeling I'll be going blind into the hardest test centre in the universe.

So much for the driving licence then :^(

On a nicer note, I've been offered a place on the masters course for when I get back from Canada. Which is good.
