Peeing down :^(
It was probably held up in the strikes. Maybe you'll get it for christmas... ;^D
> Post's arrived, but I've got nothing. NOTHING!!
It might have something to do with the postal strike
Just as bad, the idiot put a letter addressed to someone else in a completely different house, further down (or maybe up?) the road.
...I really hope F-Zero hasn't gone to someone else, as it was despatched 2-days-ago...!! (It'd better arrive tommorow!) :S
Ah well. At least I've got something to do later-on if they don't need me at work today.
It all started going wrong when I sold someone's gate post, just because it was left un-labled ontop of the pile of stock - even though it was a foot longer. But, surprisingly, I didn't get blamed for it! :)
Because `Muppet´ hadn't labled this one - or even moved it down with the Orders; away from stock - he got the blame.
Now, I know I did something wrong, but I think our Foreman chose to blame him instead... just because he loves doing it all the time!! :D
So... Maybe yesterday wasn't so bad after all?
Actually, it was what happened AFTER-work that really got me...
Since lunchtime, it had been raining heavily - non-stop. Therefore, the ground was very wet - especially with all the leaves fallen from Autumn. And, I HAD to cycle there-and-back on that day (I guess you can see where this is going now...).
Down the hill I go, in the darkness, unable to see where the edge of the road is with all these leaves everywhere. If I try to use my brakes, they don't work - I didn't even have to pedal! It felt like I was ice-skating...
Anyway, I got caught up in the guttering down the side (because I couldn't see it). And yes, as I tried to 'escape', I lost-control and shot across the road towards the post-and-rail fencing on the other side! And, as I tried to turn-away from hitting it, I slipped and went straight-over; with both me and my bike sliding several feet along the tarmac!
It was painfull, but thanks to the water-proof clothing I was wearing, I only badly scraped my right-elbow, and lost some blood.
My bike's probably okay, except I now only have HALF of my front-light.
There was a car behind me when I 'went'... Didn't give a flying-funk about me though! I got up pretty easily and moved out of the way. They just drove straight off - didn't even slow-down to ask or LOOK to see if I was alright!!
I didn't recognise the car though, so I'm sure who's it was...
If I find out who it was, I might give 'em an ear-bashing for being so inconsiderate and selfish towards others!
Or I might just let it go, since there are no broken-bones...?
It was the same colour as `Muppet's´ car, but I'm quite sure it looked different... If it was him, however, I'll definitley be "having-a-word" with him tommorow!!
At least someone else stopped, though, just to see if I was alright, as I was looking at my elbow. Sadly, it wasn't `Her´, but I will thank him for doing the decent thing and let him know I was alright.
`She´ did drive-past soon-after, but didn't stop, as I was stood-up, looking like I was 'waiting' for something. But at least she looked across - hey, it makes all the difference to me!! ;D
Speaking of checking I'm okay, the phone just rang (I ignored it), and for the second-time this morning it was my work number when I did 1471...
I don't know for certain, but `she's´ usually the one who "makes-the-calls" there. If it was my manager or boss wanting me to work, whenever they call, they always leave a message... So, who knows??
Bah - I should just pick-up the phone and say "Hello?" if it rings again! :P
I'm still waiting for my post today, and F-Zero should be on it's way...
What I time to strike, eh - with Mario Kart and others only weeks-away!! :(
Just a couple of minutes before and after...
> I'm still hoping they'll decide to put some of their players choice
> games ni the catalogue. But I won't hold my breath.
Even if they do they'll be sold out before anyone gets a look in. :(
On a different note, no internet until sunday - holiday.
*Grumbles* 3 and 1/2 hour flight tomorrow very early in the morning.
