GAME: Do we have Arcadia Skies?
Me: No, Ikaruga. For the GameCube.
GAME: Sorry, I can't tell you, we're a bit short on stock at the moment.
Bah.
What did he say?

Sounds like GAME in Buchanan Street.
I went there on Friday (Release day as well) and they only had one copy of SKies which had in fact had been pre-ordered.
They gave me it though.
It must have been in VERY high demand to sell out on release day.

Just to ad, Game aren't the only ones not to test their pre-owned selection, Gamestation don't either. They'll test their consoles, but the game are judged on their condition. Sometimes they'll pay peanuts for a VERY scratched game, send it off to head office to get it 'cleaned' (leaving lots of swirly marks on the disc) then sell it as they would normal preowned games.

Only thing I hate about them is that they don't test their 2nd hand equipment and games. In the Christmas period, two of my five PS2 games were faulty, all of which were bought from Game and they were all second hand. Gah, so bloody stupid. Do they not think that some people are selling them these games because they spilt coffee over the disc or snapped it in half and glued it back together with Pritt Stick?
Jesus. Needless to say, SR employees have peeved me off once or twice. Still, can't hold a grudge, the staff on here are the nicest staff I've ever known :)

They should be honest though, or I would feel the same way as Unbeliever. They should say "Yes, blablahahahah" or "No, I didn't like this game, but you may, or whatever".

Yeah. Some GAME staff are OK and like games. But there are a lot who just wanted the money and don't care. Which is why I prefer independants, because they seem to have more knowledgable staff.

I wondered how long it would take for someone to comment.

Actually, I have advised people not to buy it.
I hate all you nay-sayers. Most of you are too young to even have a job, and also GAME are in general excellent if you aren't thick yourself.
Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer.
Fools.
