No problems. There really isn`t any ONE thing you can do. Its just about keeping up the battles to earn AP, and collecting as many decent items, weapons and skills from all the special monsters you encounter.

You need to get the celestial weapons - make that a priority. For that you`ll need the celestial mirror, the crests and the sigils etc... Once you have these, you can break the 9,999 barrier. The other thing you need to do is boost your stats by fighting monsters in the Omega Ruins, and also gaining new spheres from the species conquest monsters. This way you`ll get your stats up to 200+ which you`ll need to have any chance of beating the dark aeons - and even then, the later ones are still tough.

If you spend time trying to get as a good as a dark aeon, then coming back to fight Braska's final aeon will be easy. It should be one hit kill. If you don`t go back and heal though, just go into the final battle with every aeon and character with a full overdrive bar. Cast hastega on yourself, then begin a massive overdrive assault. Wakka's attack reels is particularly effective as it does 12 nice big hits if you get it right.

Yeh, the talking can help to bring down his overdrive, but really its not the key, its more down to the overdrives and attack power - get it all done quickly.

Wondered if I could ask you FFX expertx for some advice...?
I've got as far as the final boss. (Braska's final aeon and the yu pagoda's)
He annihalated me every time I tried to defeat him, so I thought that rather than waste my time, i'd be better off going back to different areas and leveling up and collecting all the destruction spheres. (So I can get Amina from Baaj)
My problem now is that every now and again i'm hindered by these dark aeons which are quite hard to say the least. They use stuff like 'thundaja', etc... and do 99,999 damage with every hit... How the hell wiull they be destroyed?
Also, what is your advice on what to do next and what tactics work best for the final boss? I already know that Yuna's 'holy' is good and that you should use Tidus's 'talk' command when Braska's aeon is in it's second form, just before it reaches overdrive...
