It sure is ;) You should try System link some time Mav. 8 player Blood Gulch with all veichles is a laugh :P
And "Battle Creek"

Well I thought it deserved better than what you said here! :-P

2 Xbox's, 2 TV's and 2 copies of Halo is no problem.
Finding 7 gaming mates is impossible! :-S
Finding 5 of us is easy enough... after that... where do I find them?
Broadband should help find players, Xbox connect for instance.
Maverick, I have played Halo in 2, 3 and 4 player extensively and it is great fun. The 2 player mode co operative is greatly versatile. You can take it seriously for some serious team work, or you can kick your mate in for a laugh.
The Deathmatch is also great. Yes, it's a little empty at times, and some of the levels were clearly designed with more than 4 players in mind, but it's still great fun despite this. Although bots would fill spaces, if they were Perfect Dark "automatic super efficient auto aiming killing machines", it would sort of kill the relaxed "play how you like" atmosphere.
The best thing about it is the balanced diversity of it all.
You can use any approach you want - go on a mad killing spree with explosives/machine guns, snipe from a distance, sneak with stealth, use vehicles, and whatever the players decide to do, no one gets an unfair advantage.
Pure class, and that's without the multiple players of LAN/LIVE.
