I've just been looking through the new XBM mag, issue 22, and the line-up of new X-Box games for this year and the beginning of next looks fantastic.

Project Gotham 2
Half-life 2
Freedom Fighters
Colin McRae 4
Conker: Live and Uncut
Driver 3
True Crime
Armed and Dangerous
Star Wars: KOTOR
Soul Calibur 2
Broken Sword
Mafia
Worms 3D
Dead or Alive 4 and DOA online
MOH: Rising Sun
Doom 3
Halo 2
Fable
Shenmue 3
Full Spectrum Warrior
Splinter Cell 2
Tony Hawks Underground

Everyone of those games look to be winners and extremely enjoyable games, and if the rumours are true we could also see a port of Vice City on the way to X-Box, and in this particular mag, they say that GTA3 will be included with Vice City. So to me the future of the X-Box looks very bright indeed and I'm really glad I got it now.

Full Spectrum Warrior is one of the more interesting titles coming, I hope they don't dumb it down though...

I don't think many people have heard of it, I first saw it in a movie on a demo disc. I can't remember which one exactly but it was in an E3 showreel, I think it was actually with the X-Box World magazine. I'll find out though.

Anyway, it looks to me like a sort of spoof of Brute Force. It's the same idea, 4 characters, the usual you know, a Mole with a Scottich accent, a posh talking robot, a little nerdy guy and a little thing, I'm not sure what it's supposed to be.

The game-play looks great, for example, here's a few scenes from the DVD:

One of the characters is frozen, and the robot has an idea. There's a 'dead' animal lying next to them. If you remember Star Wars, luke cut open a creature to keep warm. Well this litle nerdy guy tries to explain to the mole what to do taking into account the star wars scene. Then the robot says, "Ah no, all you need to do is this" then he lifts the 'dead' animals tail and, yep, shoves the little guy 'up there'. Only, the animal ain't dead, much humour ensues.

Then there's the topsy turvy grenade, throw it and your character grabs on to something, and the whole level turns upside down, then flips back round so all the baddies fall from the sky, screaming, then a satisfying, and kinda funny thud is heard as they hit the ground. Mix all this with some light swearing and what looks like some really solid game-play and I think we have a potential winner.

:)

I thought CMR3 was a superb game. Aside from Rallisport Challenge I thought the game engine was probably the best there has been in a Rally game for the last few years.
