I've just been looking through the new XBM mag, issue 22, and the line-up of new X-Box games for this year and the beginning of next looks fantastic.

Project Gotham 2
Half-life 2
Freedom Fighters
Colin McRae 4
Conker: Live and Uncut
Driver 3
True Crime
Armed and Dangerous
Star Wars: KOTOR
Soul Calibur 2
Broken Sword
Mafia
Worms 3D
Dead or Alive 4 and DOA online
MOH: Rising Sun
Doom 3
Halo 2
Fable
Shenmue 3
Full Spectrum Warrior
Splinter Cell 2
Tony Hawks Underground

Everyone of those games look to be winners and extremely enjoyable games, and if the rumours are true we could also see a port of Vice City on the way to X-Box, and in this particular mag, they say that GTA3 will be included with Vice City. So to me the future of the X-Box looks very bright indeed and I'm really glad I got it now.

I haven't had those problems with chaos.

4 player deathmatch is a good laugh.

Me and a friend did the shopping mall on Chaos and we went to the giant storage room on the second floor. There was so much slow down and explosions that S**t turned into a button bashing fest. At one point the game must have dropped below 10 FPS and coupled wS**th the horrible camera angles S**t turned into a nightmare of a game. Thnkfully the sun cleared up and we went out and did some Free kicks.

The only other one we actually played was Wakeboarding Unleashed which is a fantastic game in both single and multi player. It can only be described as Tony Hawks on water minus the stupid gothic image of bands like Slip S*S**t. The co-op mode is hilarious stuff. One of you drives the boat whilst the other is the border. The liberty of going any where in massive open areas adds an incredable amount of fun to the game. I highly recommend S**t as S**t seems I am the only one who owns S**t (got S**t free as well :)

You have to revel in the chaos of State of emergency's multi. The same way Serious Sam should be played in the main game or co-op.

Damn. I should've included Serious Sam in the list of good single+multi.

Ah well.

State of Emergency isn't really anything to shout about in either single or multi player. Thankfully I got it Free from a reviewing company so I didn't fork out and cash for it. Continous slow down, poor level design and utter repetitiveness spoilt the game in both modes. In multi player there is just too much going on for there to be any enjoyment extracted from the gameplay.

A lot of titles I have are purely designed as multiplayer titles. Whacked for example is great with 2+ players. As is Robot Wars, State of Emergency, Red Faction, Kelly Slater Pro Surfer, THPS4, MX Superfly, RedCard, SSBM, Fusion Frenzy, Timesplitters 2, The Monkey Balls, Nightfire, Unreal, Medal of Honor and Smugglers Run.

None of these I would rave about in describing their 1 player modes.

I have a fair few good Single Player and Multiplayer experiences including Ghost Recon, Halo, Brute Force, Burnout 2, Wolfenstein, Mech Assault, Turok 4, Baldurs Gate and CDS.

Personally when I have mates around I would rather go play football or go to the snooker club than stay in a play games. There are always the odd couple of occassions when we may stay in and play (if its raining etc) and for those times games like Halo, Project Gotham Racing etc are great. Thankfully a very few select titles with a decent single player also have a multi player worth raving about so I never go out and purchase games for multi player at any time.

Funny that. I got my N64 for the multi. I know have more games for my 'more multi friendly' xbox than I do for my GC.

I like my one player games (Morrowind, Zelda etc) but the Multiplayer games are what a buy 80 percent of the time.
