Shigeru Miyamoto is the today the video game equivalent of Mick Jagger. In other words: he is (like Yoshi) - a dinosaur.
Yes, his early games were works of genius, but since then he has produced virtually nothing but sequels and updates. His ideas dried up years ago. Mario 'this', Zelda 'that' - today he's just living off the back of his early originality.
Just what is he working on at the moment? I don't know, but let me take a wild guess: another Mario game perhaps? Another Zelda game? Jeez, change the bloody record! That rainbow world of silly characters has had its day. Move on man!
In ten years time what will he be doing? - I think we know the answer to that don't we?
At the moment we are seeing his old games being rehashed and re-packaged on the GBA and sold for 35 quid a pop. Am I the only person on the planet who thinks this is a rip-off?
To Miyamoto I say this : turn your obviously talented hand to something new, something fresh. Quit resurrecting exhausted ideas from the dust of yesterday's bones. Do something original like you used to. Cease the repetition of old visions. Stop the monotony!

Okay I admit it. I wrote what I did to try and start an argument.
I respect Miyamoto. I've played (and finished) a lot of his games: Legend of Zelda (Snes), Mario Kart (Snes,N64), Mario 64 etc, etc. I'm just a little tired of Mario and his sunshine buddies, that's all. I welcome Pikmin.
GENIUS.
I rest my case.
:D
Shocky.

Wrong.
He programmed Zelda's in-game engine, fool - the whole

Logan did over exadurate a bit.
Miyamoto clearly knows a fair bit of coding (like anyone who's worked in the industry for over 25 years would) although like Logan said, he specialises in Designing and Art - hence his ability to create wonderful characters.
Oh... And Miyamoto is

Wrong.
He programmed Zelda's in-game engine, fool - the whole thing. He has also completed the in-game engine for the GC Zelda in record time thanks to the magnificent ease of developing a Gamecube brings.
I'm sure he didn't mean single one of the things he said.
Nomad soul keeps throwing around game titles that Myamoto hasn't even worked on, like Mario Tennis and Mario Golf, he also has little to do with the next Zelda game, the production of which is down to the same guy that worked on M ajoras Mask.
Myamoto doesn't really work on many games from the bottom up anymore, his role at Nintendo has changed, and he oversees many projects, offering his input when needed.
Pikmin is one of the few recent titles that is wholly his game, and it looks to be great fun.
Back to console wars nonsense, who cares which console has the best games, just go for the one that fits in best with the rest of the decor?
Damn a lack of a decent game list anywhere.
They were originally going to release it on DC, but then switched main production to PS2. Seeing as the DC can't do what the PS2 can, the DC version won't be as good.
> Hmm, I never knew it was an arcade game.
Nor did I... until you implied it was! You said:
"It's coming to PS2 first and will be an updated form."
So, if it's coming to the PS2 FIRST, it can't be an update of the DC version (after all, it's coming to PS2 first)... so must therefore be an update of the arcade version!
Pure logic
