I'm one of the very few who have never bought anything from Ebay, and I don't have a clue how the thing works. So I would like to know if anyone here has bought anything from there, and how payments are made.

I'm looking for Toy Story 2 for either the Dreamcast or Playstation (there is one on ebay just now, but I can't buy stuff till the weekend), and Toy Story for the MegaDrive. If anyone has these and wants to sell them then we can maybe talk, but I would like some advice about Ebay.

Thanks in advance.

Take it to the post office and send it standard parcels rate. You can get couriers but they cost, and standard parcels is fine.

I'm not thinking. I am.

:cP

And eek! If I was'nt going on holiday next week I would of put it up today (I've got the whole thing packed and ready in its box!) but sheesh £99.99 is a bit of a drop.

It's going straight up for auction as soon as I come back. I've put the console in a plastic bag and wrapped over that with 2 layers of bubble wrap, then everything else is indivudually wrapped in bubble wrapping, and they all just fit in the box, all snuggly together (no moving parts). I'll add another layer of wrap around the box and then cover it in a few sheets of brown parcel paper.

I think that should be adequate enough.

And regarding the Paypal incident - I think there was a slight glitch with eBay today, some people were reporting it on the forums, The status has changed to "Paid" now. Thanks for the help mate!

Hey I know this sounds stupid - But did you take the box (with the GC in) down to the post office - Or get a courier to pick it up?

Plus, gamezfreak, if you're thinking of selling your Cube ( you asked about postage earlier in the week) then do it fast, been into Nottingham today and four retailers have cut the console to 99.99, two had hte ones with GBA players bundled with them....

gamezfreak, in the Nintendo forum you mentioned something about a Paypal thing you thought had gone wrong ?

Two things to do, first go into your Paypal account and see if it shows you paid. Secondly, any items paid for with Paypal should show up as "Paid" with a Paypal logo sign in the status in MyEbay, if it says completed then it sounds like all you did was complete checkout and not Paypal. Best thing to do is check your account, if Paypal shows no payment was made then no payment was made and something went wrong !

He is saying he will have to upgrade to the bank account which is superior to the one he has just now.
