How the hell he managed to get out of that with a sprained ankle and concussion I'll never know! Just goes to show how good the cars are at keeping drivers safe.

I really enjoyed the race and it was the first one in ages I've watched all the way through. Hamilton has taken to F1 superbly and it would be great for him to win the title in his first season.

News coming out of Canada now is Kubica has a light concussion and a sprained ankle. Certainly less serious than a broken leg.

Yeah, that was Rosberg and Trulli.

The track is a bit of a joke really. It keeps breaking up, the facilities aren't good (Silverstone is better and that gets threatened) and the track is hardly used so it's very dusty.

The best part was when (I can't remember the cars) two cars went round a corner and just spun without touching each other, brilliant

What a crazy race. 4 safety car periods, black flags, cars smashing into walls, running off and hitting each other.

Kubica has a broken leg after that accident so I hope he has a quick recovery.

Hamilton was never going to lose that race. Never put a wheel wrong. Heidfeld was fully deserving of 2nd place. Wurz played his strategy perfectly and I guessed he didn't have to pit again, just because he had the white striped tyres on and the safety car periods saving fuel.

Massa and Fisichella can't complain. Montoya did the same thing a few years back and got black flagged. Alonso was all over the place and who knows what damage he did to the underside of that car. It was great to see Sato, on the right tyres at the time, to overtake Alonso.

Red Bull wrecked Webber's race with poor strategy and they could have scored some points there. In the end, he missed out on a point by less than a tenth.

Hamilton leads by 8 points now and Indianapolis is not Alonso's favourite place.

Holy smoke what a crash... I hope Kubica's okay...

Poor Hamilton, he works very hard for that lead and then gets it obliterated by the clumsiness of Sutil.

The McLarens definitely have a distinct advantage and Ferrari seem a little lost. Heidfeld spoiling the party with 3rd place will be a concern but he will probably have less fuel.

It's going to be a tough race as it's a difficult track to attack. I'm not sure if they'll all get through the first corner without incident either.

Alonso was half a second clear of anyone in practise. That's going to be a bit of a head scratcher for Ferrari. The track is going to keep getting more grip as the track isn't used much and the cars are going to lay the rubber down.

It's a bit of a surprise because Canada is usually one of the tracks where the times are quite close. Maybe it's just the Friday factor.

Alonso hasn't gone well round Canada or the US tracks.

No one listens to Villeneuve anymore. I can't say I've seen much wrong with the starts Hamilton has made but the starts are very much about survival, which makes the aggressive drivers stand out.
