I want somewhere to stick my thoughts on the Formula 1 season as it progresses so I'm going to do that here. Feel free to join me if you want.

Although it's looking likely that it'll be McLaren testers De La Rosa and Paffitt...

I don't see a problem with it. Sure, some of the smaller teams will get a performance boost but I think that's good and it's not like all the cars will be the same.

Raikkonen and Ferrari a long way ahead in practise 1 and Hamilton in practise 2. Different times of day and different conditions make it difficult to judge. Ferrari should have the advantage.

Yes, Prodrive looks like one to watch, as long as they sort out the final batch of legal issues to buy McLaren's cars.

Still a lot of people seemingly unhappy about the decision for other teams to be able to buy up-to-date cars off larger teams though. I think it'll make everything that much more competitive, which can only be a good thing...

There is always Prodrive that is pretty much going to be a McLaren team of sorts, if reports are to be believed. They've not confirmed a driver line up yet.

Spyker's car been put back as it failed rear crash tests. It probably won't move them off the back but it'll be information for them at least.

Well, it's all soon going to be full, anyway. Everyone seems to announce their drivers within the next month anyway, but I guess we can't see what's happening behind the scenes and whether he's approached any team yet.

Heidfeld and Kubica for BMW in 2008. That gives one less option if Alonso wants to leave.

Renault have ended development on the 2007 car. Not a surprise really. I think they are hoping to get the jump on their rivals by making a killer car and ironing out bugs early.

Spyker are considering selling some, maybe all, of their F1 team to solve their cashflow problems. I thought when they bought the team that money would eventually be a problem.

Also, Honda have found major problems with their wind tunnel. No surprises there. I could have told them that. :)

Heh, I suppose it would be better for the silly season to take place after the season has finished but it never does as usually drivers move straight after the season has finished and they are already well slong in their development for next season by then.

Possibly that's part of the problem. The racing occurs once every 2 or 3 weeks and in between this the conversation naturally falls into debate about what drivers will be doing next.

But it still niggles me as I like to concentrate on one season at a time!

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
