As of Friday 28th September the PS2 will be priced at £199, how will the Nintendo loyalists love that. :D

This really should have happened a lot sooner. Better late than never I suppose.

Well, this is a rather large blow for Nintendo and Microsoft.
Here is the choice for Sprong 2002:
A GameCube for £199, with a few good release games.
An X-Box for £299-not sure about launch titles.
OR, a PS2 for £199, AND the best game ever, Metal Gear Solid 2.
It's looking good for Sony. And who said that the pricing of the PS2 was unfair? :D

Nintendo might get affected although they have won the game console war as they are the only company that make a game console the rest are multimedia.
Nintendo have tonnes of cash the games company generates too much money not to as 3rd party developers have to give Nintendo 50% of their profits of the GCN games.
Nintendo also have the GBA, they are not bothered by the ammount Sony are making they have enough money (more than enough) to generate the worlds greatest games and that all that matters, Nintnedo are no where near he stage SEGA was suffering at.
