OK, here's a difinitive difference between the PS2 and GC that we can argue about for a few hours:
The PS2 launch day had people queueing for days, even trailing electric sockets to the stores so the can play on the outside.
The GC launch day went with a bit of a fizz, with a couple of small queues.
Evidentally, this shows that the PS2 was more eagerly awaited than the GC. Why is this?

I have to say I would prefer to havea GC over a PS2 because it is a true console whereas the PS2 is trying to be a DVD playing online games console, and it is doing none of that convincingly.
The Xbox however is shaping up a treat in all areas and will have a better launch line up than that of the GC.

Yawn, some of you peepz need to get your facts straight. There were 500,000 Gamecube units available at launch (which immediately eradicates the possibility of selling 520,00) which was far greater than the number Sony managed to get onto the shelves.
