"How fantastic is skies of Arcadia?"

Despite naff graphics I am loving this Skies game. Picked it up along with 3 other games (see my £50 in cambridge thread) for a mere £19 and I can't imagine a closer RPG alternative to Zelda. Vast, expansive, encourages exploration and a deep story. In fact as storylines go it moves at a far faster pace than that Wind Waker game.

Great game, feels a bit like Starfox to play (not quite sure why) but of course i mean that in a good way.

If you can find it buy it. You won't regret it. Roll on Skies 2.

I'm not one for making walkthroughs, and my life is already too full right now for me to do it.

Someone should wrap this thread up into a walkthrough and submit it for a GAD.

I've turned it into a help topic, but at least it's still on topic since it's the same game.

Yeah I got all them discoveries in that place, or at least all the Ixa-etc ones.

Just missed that dude.

To find the Ixa'ness village you have to find the piece of the continent that is furthest south and is on the west side, if you go to the northern part of that island and there's clearing in the continent, it should be there.

Right that is not nessecary for the gigas, you can completely survive without any hits, I've told you before how to do it, you've seen guide how to do it.
When you see a yellow or red square attack using a secondary cannon for both the turn before and on the yellow or red square, and use a standard cannon on the yellow/red square. You must have at least 2 secondary cannons and 2 standard cannons in your ship's profile.

Yar - the guy right at the top in the bit with the cheif's hut and the inn. But you have to have found the Ixa-taka village before he'll join you're crew.
It's a Discovery - go west of Horteka up to the ice reef - there's 2 islands, one's got some rasied bits on it, NOT this one but the flatter one. It's got 2 big lumps of forest on it with some grass inbetween - serch on the grass on the edge of the island.

The stripes might well continue over, I may have a big pile of them in my inventory. I've got all the guns and stuff off the Little Jack, so I don't see why I shouldn't have the stripes as well.

Oh, and I swear the stripes continue over.
