just half an hour ago the north tower of the world trade centre in New York City was hit by a small passenger airplane then the south tower was hit by a larger private jet hit the south tower...the first jet is said to have been hijacked.......

Terrorists have attacked the US, hijacking three planes and smashing them into the World Trade Centre and Pentagon.
Hundreds are feared dead in the suicide attacks, which caused one of the 110-storey WTC towers to collapse into the streets of New York.
The scenes of destruction are thought to have been caused by Middle Eastern terrorists.
George Bush has promised a "full-scale investigation to hunt down and find those folks who committed this act. The US president said: "Terrorism against our nation will not stand."
Abu Dhabi television reported it had received a call from the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine claiming responsibility for crashing two planes into the twin WTC towers overlooking New York harbour.
The West Wing of White House was evacuated after the attack on the Pentagon in Washington.
The first attack came just before 9am local time (2pm UK time) when a jet airliner smashed high into one of the WTC towers from the south.
About eighteen minutes later, as witnesses described the horror, a second airliner flew in from the same direction, hitting the other tower. The crash was shown live on CNN.
Casualties are expected to run into thousands.
CNN has reported that one of the planes was an American Airlines Boeing 767 that took off from Boston. The plane can carry up to 300 passengers

PENTAGON HIT IN THIRD PLANE ATTACK

An aircraft has crashed near the Pentagon in Washington.
The West Wing of the White House has been evacuated amid threats of terrorism.
There are no details of any casualties at this stage.
Paul Begala, a Democratic consultant, says he witnessed a explosion near the Pentagon shortly after two planes crashed into World Trade Centre.
"It was a huge fireball, a huge, orange fireball," Mr Begala said.
He said another witness told him a helicopter exploded.
"I saw the tail of a large airliner. ... It plowed right into the Pentagon," said an Associated Press Radio reporter. "There is billowing black smoke."
All airports across the US have been shut down.
