The "Freeola Customer Forum" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
Moderators and non Moderators alike, lend me your ears! (or eyes in this case!) With all the recent stress and aggravation caused by the JA's, we at Freeola are wishing to know exactly what:
A) Moderators - what would you like to be able to do, to be able to perform your jobs more effectively?
B) Regulars and chatters - What would you like to see Moderators able to do, to be able to help protect the forums from spammers and abusive users? Or do you think they currently have enough power?
Once we know exactly what you want to be able to do on here, without having to worry about alerting us staffies all the time, (although we should always be lurking to take action) we should be able to make this a better place to be.

Not by me. :P

At the moment it doesnt work on JATs.

It did get abused by someone at the beginning and staffies had to unbar 2 people.

I'm sure I have that option in Movies, sometihng like 'bar user from forum'.

Not by me.
1, continous spamming gets to everyone.
2, whats the point in been a mod when we only have limited options that really dont make a difference.
3, if your not going to give us more options then i say the forum soon enough wont last long! Staff arent around that often when the moderating is needed. People will soon get bored of all the crap posted and maybe move to another forum thats controlled. You would think this been a 'Family site' for everyone that it would be better controlled.

See? They're already watching our backs so it's fine =)

Yeah it would save having to delete 40 odd posts.
A simple method of blocking a user's posting rights via a moderator vote is sufficient. Then the staffies will decide if the person deserves a ban.

That should apply to biglime as he's deleted a lot of peoples posts without giving a reason =)
When I think of deleting posts, I think of the idiots who come to mess and spam the place before they get banned. Posting links to tubgirl and goatse, etc.
At the moment any modifications made to posts are sent through to ourselves so ensure no one is abusing their powers.
