There are some owners of other consoles out there who are allready saying that the GC is really bad. What I would like to know is have they actually played on it. Of course not, it's not even out yet. They have no reason to go about saying the GC is bad. I only judge a games console by how it plays and what the company have made in the past. I've played on the PS2 plenty of times and it's very good, but the reason why I'm sticking with Nintendo is because I am yet to be dissapointed by them. I liked the SNES and the N64, and because the GC is shaping up to be every bit as good as the PS2, I will probably get it. Any one complaining about the quality or the price of the GC have no reson behind it because they havn't played on it and the price is yet to be confirmed. I would like to have a PS2, but I can only afford to buy one of them. Any one who is saying that the PS2 is thousands of times better than the GC they are wrong. When I was reading the Online section in the Guardian news paper I read, and I quote:

'The Gamecube in near-launch state turned out to be more impressive than I expected. This contrasts with Sony's PlayStation 2, which now looks less impressive than expected.'

The PS2 is a brilliant piece of kit, but there's nothing stopping the GC from being better. Another thing is that people keep on saying that Nintendo makes too many children games but they have obviously overlooked many of the adult made games. If Nintendo only made adult games there would be no games for children. Also Nintendo try to focus on making games sutible for everyone. Just because the games has little adult content and no blood and gore doesn't mean it's not a good game. A game can look imensly childish but can play like a dream. I'm not going to judge whether the GC is better than the PS2 untill I get it for myself.

Here we go again gamecube's better than PS2, ah well here goes.

What makes a console is it's games and I've had a long hard look at the gamecube lineup and it's garbage. If you like kiddie platformers or follow zelda then your happy but apart from a minimal few there's nothing remotly interesting.
I don't care what anyone says the PS2 is the best console for my liking and I'd rather play metal gear solid 2, Silent Hill 2 and devil may cry than luigi's mansion, diddy kong racing and all the other kiddie games for the 3+.

Crash Bandicoot, spyro etc can be great fun for all ages but are made for children and Nintendo consoles have nothing but pokemon and kiddie platformers which are great if you like them and I don't mind the odd one but how many can you make?
I'm picking up a gamecube because of resident evil zero which by the way from what I've gathered was made just to keep an open relationhip with Nintendo but everyone has their own taste and the sooner you ninty's understand that the better.
