There are some owners of other consoles out there who are allready saying that the GC is really bad. What I would like to know is have they actually played on it. Of course not, it's not even out yet. They have no reason to go about saying the GC is bad. I only judge a games console by how it plays and what the company have made in the past. I've played on the PS2 plenty of times and it's very good, but the reason why I'm sticking with Nintendo is because I am yet to be dissapointed by them. I liked the SNES and the N64, and because the GC is shaping up to be every bit as good as the PS2, I will probably get it. Any one complaining about the quality or the price of the GC have no reson behind it because they havn't played on it and the price is yet to be confirmed. I would like to have a PS2, but I can only afford to buy one of them. Any one who is saying that the PS2 is thousands of times better than the GC they are wrong. When I was reading the Online section in the Guardian news paper I read, and I quote:

'The Gamecube in near-launch state turned out to be more impressive than I expected. This contrasts with Sony's PlayStation 2, which now looks less impressive than expected.'

The PS2 is a brilliant piece of kit, but there's nothing stopping the GC from being better. Another thing is that people keep on saying that Nintendo makes too many children games but they have obviously overlooked many of the adult made games. If Nintendo only made adult games there would be no games for children. Also Nintendo try to focus on making games sutible for everyone. Just because the games has little adult content and no blood and gore doesn't mean it's not a good game. A game can look imensly childish but can play like a dream. I'm not going to judge whether the GC is better than the PS2 untill I get it for myself.

So, rather than comparing GT3 to Mario Kart, you're now saying the latter is too expensive? I agree on that but stick to your argument!

i see you like repeating your tagline, haha just joking. yeah my cousin's got a GBA and they're great but don't you think charging £35 is a bit steep. Nothing wrong with converting snes games to the GBA especially if they're as good as all stars but i just think they charge too much.

Res, for Christ's sake, I've told you about this kinda thing before. Don't just take the facts that suit your opinion, you have to take the whole situation. Remember that Digi gave Gran Turismo 3 5/5??!! So, they give a game full marks and tell you not to buy it? I think not!
Also, another thing which makes Mario Kart: Super Circuit so special is the fact that Nintendo have taken a home console game and managed to turn it into portable fun. Do you see?

Mario Kart Super Circuit is no just a conversion. It has 20 brand new tracks along with the old ones.

until the gamecube is released and has been tested enough to judge whether it's a good console or not, people can only predict.

Just don't listen to digitiser, apparently it's wrong to spend £35 for gran turismo 3 because it's just an update but it's perfectly fine to spend the same amount on super mario cart for the GBA when it's just a snes conversion.

mmm i think they're a bit ninty biased wouldn't you say.

I was only replying to when you agreed with Resi about

I think you too

I was atleast taking my opinions from people who had
> played them.

Appologies if I gave that impression. What I was aiming at was that there are no "epic" games at realease. This was not a problem with PS2, because, to be fair, the initial sales figures were mostly due to hype... the popularity of PS1.

Ninty, from having an 80% market share in the console market, now has somethign far smaller, and in order to gain that back must have an epic game. A zelda release would have done this. However, not only does this not appear, but nor does Mario!?!?!? The remaining games are not the epics needed. There will be some excellent games, but nothing to turn enough heads to make ninty no. 1.

But maybe I'm wrong, and people will fall in love with it?

I think I've confused some people here, Pokemon has to have something good behind it to be so popular but to me it's garbage. Alot of the gamecube games don't appeal to me but I'm sure alot of people will like them ;)
