There are some owners of other consoles out there who are allready saying that the GC is really bad. What I would like to know is have they actually played on it. Of course not, it's not even out yet. They have no reason to go about saying the GC is bad. I only judge a games console by how it plays and what the company have made in the past. I've played on the PS2 plenty of times and it's very good, but the reason why I'm sticking with Nintendo is because I am yet to be dissapointed by them. I liked the SNES and the N64, and because the GC is shaping up to be every bit as good as the PS2, I will probably get it. Any one complaining about the quality or the price of the GC have no reson behind it because they havn't played on it and the price is yet to be confirmed. I would like to have a PS2, but I can only afford to buy one of them. Any one who is saying that the PS2 is thousands of times better than the GC they are wrong. When I was reading the Online section in the Guardian news paper I read, and I quote:

'The Gamecube in near-launch state turned out to be more impressive than I expected. This contrasts with Sony's PlayStation 2, which now looks less impressive than expected.'

The PS2 is a brilliant piece of kit, but there's nothing stopping the GC from being better. Another thing is that people keep on saying that Nintendo makes too many children games but they have obviously overlooked many of the adult made games. If Nintendo only made adult games there would be no games for children. Also Nintendo try to focus on making games sutible for everyone. Just because the games has little adult content and no blood and gore doesn't mean it's not a good game. A game can look imensly childish but can play like a dream. I'm not going to judge whether the GC is better than the PS2 untill I get it for myself.

OK... so u paid no attention to the original post!

What makes a console is it's games and I've had a long hard look

YES.. u got something right... let's see if u keep it up...

Errrrrr??? It has a whole line up of "adult" games... read on...

I don't care what anyone

Well, the GCis getting a MG game, a res evil game (both unique to the GC), as well as many more... I agree that Nintendo make "family game" like Luigi... SO? SONY DON'T EVEN MAKE GAMES! It's the third party games that make the console. And to say luigi's mansion is kiddy without playing it! What about Zelda... widely regarded as on par with Final Fantasy!

Crash Bandicoot, spyro etc can be great fun for all ages but

Have u contradicted yourself. U don't like the GC coz it has chils games. But now u say the PS2 has such games. But that's ok, because the childlike games on the PS2 are fun for all ages? What? But u haven't played any of the GC games, so how do u know that they will not appeal to all ages?

I'm picking up a

Right... so you're getting a GC? For one game? Sure

I feel the need to raise the question - Is it all too little too late?
I like to think so, coz Sony don't deserve their success.

Well £300 for about a year of doing nothing is bad but over the next few months the great games will finally arrive.

haha only kidding I'll shut up if you want me too, but I hope the gamecube gets some better games because spending £200 for 2 maybe 3 games isn't very appealing.
