'The Gamecube in near-launch state turned out to be more impressive than I expected. This contrasts with Sony's PlayStation 2, which now looks less impressive than expected.'
The PS2 is a brilliant piece of kit, but there's nothing stopping the GC from being better. Another thing is that people keep on saying that Nintendo makes too many children games but they have obviously overlooked many of the adult made games. If Nintendo only made adult games there would be no games for children. Also Nintendo try to focus on making games sutible for everyone. Just because the games has little adult content and no blood and gore doesn't mean it's not a good game. A game can look imensly childish but can play like a dream. I'm not going to judge whether the GC is better than the PS2 untill I get it for myself.
Also, another thing which makes Mario Kart: Super Circuit so special is the fact that Nintendo have taken a home console game and managed to turn it into portable fun. Do you see?
Just don't listen to digitiser, apparently it's wrong to spend £35 for gran turismo 3 because it's just an update but it's perfectly fine to spend the same amount on super mario cart for the GBA when it's just a snes conversion.
mmm i think they're a bit ninty biased wouldn't you say.
don't give me that "oh- i- think- it- is- not- fair- to- judge- the- gamecube- now- because- it- is- not- even- out-yet! crap"
if i nhad a penny for everyperson that said that i would have.........................(1,..47,....3....327.) yeah i would have 2 pounds now!

I was only replying to when you agreed with Resi about

I think you too

I was atleast taking my opinions from people who had

Appologies if I gave that impression. What I was aiming at was that there are no "epic" games at realease. This was not a problem with PS2, because, to be fair, the initial sales figures were mostly due to hype... the popularity of PS1.
Ninty, from having an 80% market share in the console market, now has somethign far smaller, and in order to gain that back must have an epic game. A zelda release would have done this. However, not only does this not appear, but nor does Mario!?!?!? The remaining games are not the epics needed. There will be some excellent games, but nothing to turn enough heads to make ninty no. 1.
But maybe I'm wrong, and people will fall in love with it?
