As we seem to have a thread for most of the big games, I thought we may as well have one for this behemoth of a game - so if you have any ideas, favourite ways to play the game or just want to pass comment on what already appears to be a fantastic and absorbing game - please post here.
If you want to discuss the plot or other aspects of the storyline - remember to use the
first off...I'm liking the combat system now - no definite turn based combat? Action seems to be constant even though you have to select your moves. Brilliant?
I understand what you are saying, they tried to get you to play everybody for a time so you are able to effectively judge who to pick. Although mine was a no brainer, as I dislike Snow and Shaz and Hope is a whiney little child.
I am thinking of Hope, Light and Sazh. But i ain't sure, when i have them all together i will check their roles and stats, then go from there. I actually quite like all the characters, an di think because you are forced to play as them, you do not leave anyone out and then dislike them...... make sense?
At the start of Chapter 10 after last night, up to stage 8 of the crystal training thing, 4-6000 CP per step isn't fun and is starting to slow me down :(
Still happy with my all-female line-up, for harder mobs I can run Light as a Medic with the other 2 Sabatour to quickly whack 4 or 5 debuffs on them to knock down quickly after switching back to RAV/COM/RAV
got to;
I do not think i am too far from Butch, but then i can't be sure. All my chracters are on lv2 roles and seems to be doing ok in Battles, still aint gone and battled more than is avaliable so i will probably need to later on.
Our resident office FF expert informs me that, without a Synergist, I will be struggling later on though :(
The below doesn't need to be looked at unless you are quite later in the game
My Characters seem to be strong enough, i have not gone grinding CP due to not finding a good area really, but I normally take every fight that is in an area so my characers should be just over par!
So do this up until about Crystarium Stage 6/7 (where it starts getting substantial amounts) then focus on one main role for each char. If you have loads of CP kicking about use some for the secondary role, but make sure you keep a fairly healthy amount for a head start on your main role the next "Cryst level up" you get.
Hope that makes sense....
