Big name, big game and big fan following...it's bound to be a game widely discussed!

As we seem to have a thread for most of the big games, I thought we may as well have one for this behemoth of a game - so if you have any ideas, favourite ways to play the game or just want to pass comment on what already appears to be a fantastic and absorbing game - please post here.

If you want to discuss the plot or other aspects of the storyline - remember to use the tags to hide it from people who want to play the game without ruining it for themselves.

first off...I'm liking the combat system now - no definite turn based combat? Action seems to be constant even though you have to select your moves. Brilliant?

Well i like Snow, and he is my favourite character to fight as!

I just want to get home and play some more. The chapters must get a lot longer as i am 10hours in and at Chapter 7 i think.

Not watching a FF opening movie is like eating a small African child........ illegal!

The 6600 CP battle as you refer to is the one in the video Em.. it's just it's not 1 minute at the point the maker of that video made it. with my party at the moment I can finish that battle in 30-40 seconds. Later it does become a good grind spot.

Whilst I read [moto's] booklet I can't say I remember that, and what start movie? The one when you load up the game? As if I wasted my time watching that :)

I did see some better videos where they were getting 6600cp and the battle took like 1 minute.

Maybe Snow gets annoying later, but i think he is awesome lol

Snow is an annoying fool who keeps repeating the same thing over and over Emmie >_< But he is ok I guess.....

And Butch you lemon, the game booklet tells you she is a playable character along with the others, the start movie shows her fighting in the same team as your party, and every trailer had her in as a major role. Don't think I spoiled anything...... so bleh.

Edit, oh completed it by the way. Last night.

46 hours, so Square's playtime was not far off.

Now I need to do the other 40 missions.

It is very much worth buying! I am enjoying it more and more.

Managed to get a few hours down last night, done about 10 hours now.

To buy or not to buy...

I've loved every FF game, obviously to differing degrees, and have lost whole weeks out of my life whenever the new releases came out but not this time.

Trailer didn't grab me but your chat has made me curious. Of course I will need to steal the PS3 off my nephew... :)

Its one of them things, is it better to be further ahead and not be able to talk about the game, or be behind and able to discuss every aspect with people!?!

Yeah lots of trailers hint at it (me and my friend were discussing who what hottest, he hasn't played the game but he decided on her after watching said trailers) but WH already told me (and moto) that this happens.

He is now longer not allow to talk to us about such things.
