Any other Freeola users noticed an increase in SPAM recently?
We've just had a pretty good run of low levels of SPAM, but for the large range of domain/emails I look after I can see a recent increase.
If there's anything Freeola can check/update it would be appreciated.
Am I right in thinking SPAM email samples sent as attachments via Outlook are still no use to you?
Thanks.

Last 2 days Hmmm have been 'crystal clear' .... unless you include Mrs DL's 'perfume and scent' emails .. ha ha :¬)
The last batch was the gobbledegook with the .rtf attachments that others were also seeing and stopped about a week ago.
From LukeM's comments it sounds as if wasn't due to Freeola's actions which is a shame as I was hoping my abuse@ emails were of use.
Is your spam from normal incoming email or from 'form' submissions?
This IP address 213.239.200.199 (from a German ISP) has recently been doing the rounds on my domains form-to-mail pages. I wouldn't normally publish an IP address but Google shows it to be used my a known spammer!
This submits similar junk along with pure junk links similar to your example.
For me this this stopped on the 22nd :¬)
If it didn't I was just about to update my .htaccess to deny it!

Has anyone else had these?
N.
As for specific changes recently, I haven't heard about any.

Hi Freeola,
Any feedback on this?
My spam situation is excellent this week :¬)
With no response it looks like it might all be down to the spammers ISP taking action!
[s]Hmmm...[/s]
In the last day or so the garbled spam with the .rtf attachments has stopped for my Freeola accounts :¬)
As I mentioned earlier I had been sending samples through to Freeola.
Again, it would have been nice to know if this had helped - or if this improvement is all due to the spammer's ISP jumping on them!

As I mentioned before, I pick up a copy of all my email via Google (Mail Fetcher) - my previous GMail Mail Fetcher post.
I've just noticed that yesterday's important notification from Freeola (re. webserver problems) which I received normally direct on Outlook was sent to JUNK/SPAM by GMail which is rather a shame for such an important note.
Worth bearing in mind if anyone out there only uses GMail.
I've now marked the email as 'not junk' but it shows that GMail's filters initially thought otherwise.
...It's nice to see that the MyFreeola Message Centre also contains the note - a good backstop.

About the same number Hmmm, through 3 accounts (at the moment) with the .rtf attachment - manageable, but yet another 'pain' :-)
(sort of) Glad it's not just me ;¬)
I'm getting 20-30 of these a day all with muddled garbage and the .rtf attachments - is the the same type of spam you are seeing?
Hopefully Freeola will be able to make similar changes to their email 'grey listing' again so things return to running nice and clean :¬)
Perhaps Freeola could say if the 'Spam samples' I've sent so far are helping?

Hi Hmmm,
Meant to post about this a few days ago, but yes....an increase in spam :¬((
