I mean not being physically able to sleep.
Being awake at 5am knowing you have to be at work in 3hrs and spending the day in a daze.
Makes you forgetful and ratty.
You get all the usual advice "Dont drink caffeine/read before you sleep/take a herbal remedy/try getting into a routine" but they don't work.
Still, best time of day to be awake.
The place is quiet, no traffic, no noisy neighbours, no incessant buzzing from the tv.
Just me, the computer and music.
Could be worse.

And a huge thanks to Andy there.
Sounds dumb and I know the caffeine thing, but it does help to quit tea after about 9pm.
Just drank mineral water (flavoured, I'm not that poncy) and smoked myself out and fell asleep at 2am last night.
