The "Sony Games" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
No, it won`t be as lond as the FOG version.
Why am I trying it out anyway?
The PS2 forum is a very interesting place to be, but it can also be a little quiet. I though perhaps if we had a topic with several hundred replies lurking at the top, things would look more popular.
Feel free to use the topic to talk about anything. Either the latest PS2 game, latest ideas for including some female star in a game etc... or even just the usual chat that happens all over.
As I expect this to fail, I`ve decided to spend a little while pushing up the replies. No spamming, just lots of nonsense :-)
Any help would be great, it`d be boring to have a whole topic with replies from only me.

Region-x will work with your orginal cable. It will make the picture black and white for a NTSC disc, or new tvs still show NTSC in colour even though there not connected via RGB.
Green screen appears if you use a RGB lead to play DVD's without region-x. Region-x gets rid of the green screen via a RGB lead.

an RGB cable makes the screen green. i will have to ask henry when i see him because it cant be true because every one would be doing it then.

that is what i thought until longy told me that his friend had bought region X and could play import games on it
so either he is lying or some thing

It only does DVD's. Never heard it could do games, if it could it would say so on the box, or there would be the option to play them in a menu.
> so with region x u can play japanese games?
Nope, you either have to find away to chip your console or buy yourself a Japanese PS2.

you need a NTSC machine to play other countries games apparantly
To play import games you would either need to chip it, or buy a US PS2 for US games or a Jap PS2 for Jap games.
