"Far Cry.... exquisemwa?"

It seems I have been living under a rock for the past few years when it comes to PC gaming however I have seen this name pop up here and there as a possible Halo beater. They have just released a 465mb demo of it however I don't want to spoil the game by running it on my GeForce FX 5200 so I will wait until Friday when my Radeon 9800 XT arrives.

Between now and then I would appreciate someone filling me in on the stuff IGN haven't previewed. Does the game have ragdoll physics etc etc...

Any information would be apprciated.

Gamespy have the Catalyst 4.1 driver which was released yesterday.

Downloading now at a stunning 20k\bs or whatever it is. Gigex featured it on their site but didn't actually have the demo, and I'm downloading from a public server on fileplanet after waiting in line 1 hour 30 odd minutes. This had better be as good as the game sounds. Then I have to download this direct x 9b because the most recent game I have bought ws Silent Storm and I need the Catalyst 3.9 drivers....*sigh*

I got 59 KB/S when I tried downloading from Gamespy earlier. I am going to download it and wait until Saturday to try it out.

Anyone managing to download it at a decent rate? Seems to be really popular as I'm getting a measly 15kb/s... :(

It looks funning awesome though.

I've seen the videos of it, they have buggys and stuff so its all good.

I have read about the fancy AI and kick ass vehicles but I am looking forward to seeing how the ragdoll physiscs are handled. Best game to date for high detail ragdoll effects has to be Max Payne 2 on the PC.
