I could have got the Prime poster, but posters are pretty pointless, the MK: DD keyring looked very nice but I missed it. :-D
I got a Zelda: CE (which was given away in bulk, so you can't really complain) and the Oridion Soundtrack. Getting a GBA Player or something similar would be very lucky. I had old stars waiting around to be used for ages, it's just a case of waiting until there's something in stock that's worth getting (and in stock).
Getting annoyed because Nintendo don't give out thousands of free gifts at once is stupid. They're free for gods sake.
Doesn't look like there was too much on offer this time however (the Zelda disc was 4,500-Stars better-spend still - even though you could eventually get it for FREE afterwards!).
However, I do like my keyring-things. If you were to see my keyring, as it is right now, you'd wonder how on Earth I get the thing in my pocket. It's not down to the actual number of keys themselves or anything, it's all the useless crap I've been adding to it, over the years (sort of like Lisa Simpson's ball-of-twine).
If I get something small and "attatchable" in a Christmas Cracker (for example), it isntantly goes on my keyring. I've got a mini-padlock, a spring I have absolutely no-use for, some LED torches from SR... Even an old chunk of Wembley (or so, Tesco said, £5-ago...). Very rarely - if ever - do I remove anything from it, either. Keys from my old house were the last to come off. And, even if something gets broken, I'll try and stick it back on, somehow!
I have a problem! :S
;D

I wonder if you'll be saying this if (like me) you've been wanting to spend your stars for about 6 months but because of the small quantities put up you can't get anything. Your only saying it isn't a problem because you got 2 items from the Stars Catalogue!
What items did you get anyway? I really wanted the Wind Waker, Mario or Metroid Prime poster or a Mario Kart DD keyring!
Did anyone copy and paste a picture of the keyring before the Sold Out sign took it's place? i would like to see what it actually looked like, thanks. :)
Animal Crossing would cost more to release in Europe than it would to sell unless they advertised it but with dated graphics and small appeal it was hardly worth releasing bar in small quantities.
Nintendo fans = moaners...
Just live with it and enjoy the sodding games.
> Do you work for Nintendo Of Europe Dringo?
Should do.
Although I'd be more diplomatic...
So no I shouldn't.
These free gifts are simply acts of kindness by Nintendo and it's a ncie little system. Don't like it? Don't bother registering your stars then. Sell them on eBay. Whatever.
I have got two lovely items from them, so I see no problem, even if the first-come-first-serve system can get annoying when you have a lot of stars to spend.
They delay games so Nintendo fans have an even supply of software throughout the year... with the customary lack in the summer and increase over Christmas.
Games are delayed worldwide, a game maybe finished by Christmas 2003 (e.g. Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes), due to the mass of titles being released at Christmas it was delayed worldwide. In February Europeans have Beyond Good and Evil, Prince of Persia and Kirby to cope with so the game is thusly not released till the end of March due to the easter increase.
Nintendo launched the STARS idea over here... we have 3 Nintendo reps... geebus!
My other complaints still remain however!
