Get there NOW.
Bah, their gifts are much better than ours. I would have snapped up that Majora's Mask soundtrack and Radio in no time!
It is easy to get it on import for less than the price they would release it here.
And the fact that you don't need a mod chip to play import games on a GameCube makes it one of the most imported games around.
I'm sure if you really wanted Animal Crossing you'd either have it now, or would be likely to be purchasing it from an online store shortly.
But America is the only place in the world that the Gamecube actually sells well in.

Each individual European country speaks a different language, each individual european country has their own individual holidays that need to be built into the system... they need to localise far more than any company has ever done before... this isn't a simply a matter of converting text to German, French, English etc...
It is in fact against international law for Nintendo to favour one European country over another... an example of this is the trouble they got in over Pokemon for only offering English versions in france.
Australia speak English... they've simply got a PAL edition of the American game minus a few holidays such as Independance day...
It would cost a bomb and take ages for Nintendo to release Animal Crossing...
Now noting it has N64 style graphics and will appeal to just the hardcore fan base thusly not even getting close to making a profit... would you release the game in Europe? Or make your translation teams etc... and the AC team work harder on producing AC2 and translating that to a worldwide audience?
If the game does come to Europe it will be to simply calm down the fans that believe "Nintendo hate Europe"... in fact as it'll almost certainly sell very badly it may mean Nintendo opt to not release the next AC game.
> Dammit it's free.
We can see what you're saying Dringo, and yes - I agree with you to a certain extent.
But, as somebody very loyal to Nintendo, buying their consoles and games on release, I just feel upset that somebody who has perhaps bought the odd game can walk away with something free and I get nothing. I just feel royally screwed over.
Edgy's right - it's because we know what we're missing. The stars catalogue should really be for those who deserve it or none at all.
