Anything from their early, grungy metal to their present upbeat / uplifting rock. They have contributed to Rock music things that other bands can only dreaming of. By writing their own lyrics and music, only doing live performences and playing their own instruments they put teeniebopper favourite's "S Club 7" in their place.
Having added numerous awards worldwide including "Greatest Heavy Metal Band Album of 1997" for their debut full album "Polythene."
Named the best Live band around, they overwhelm onlookers at festivals and concerts worldwide including in Japan, U.S.A, Germany, Italk, France, Spain and of course, The U.K.
No matter what mood, circumstance or emotional condition you're in, there's always a Feeder song to suit your situation. From the uplifting catchiness of Top 5 hit "Buck Rogers" to the moving and inspirational "Yesterday Went Too Soon."
Whether you like Rock, Pop, Metal, Indie, or Nu Metal, Feeder has a place in their Kingdom for you, and your dinner table is waiting for you to be uplifted by the bands amazing musical talent.
To summarise... God Save Feeder.
and feeder are definalty by FAR the best live band ever, i mean have you seen them in concert?! i saw them at newport leisure centre.
please post back with your other favs in the rock scene

I'm not "hiding behind" any awards. I'm just saying they got one, just simply telling people the latest Feeder news, and no, I will not stop insulting your "music credability."
Echo Park, like all albums, has a couple of lows (Bug, Choke) but many highs (We Can't Rewind, Tell All Your Friends, Satellite News). Class album. Not as good as YWTS, but better than Swim, and as good as Polythene. NEVER, EVER will I step down from Feeder!
mr neil, do you intentionally bend over and speak from your rear? Even misterhappy would admit there's difference between Insomnia & Buck Rogers! Insomnia is a class song and one of Feeder's greatest. A pure gem live! And A FEW nice songs? ********! Pure ********! Couldn't disagree more! What a pile of pants! Feeder have tonnes of great songs. At the moment I'm listening to "Crash," an older, great song. When live, it's performed with amazing skill (you try playing that intro on your guitar!!!).
And they have not "SOLD OUT!"
And anyway, you're all put to shame in a month people, one month...
In one month, the insults end...
In one month, the critics bow...
In one month, Feeder hail again...
They are not legends, and sadly will never be. They just aren't special, they have no signature, nothing that makes you think WOW! You think back to Insomnia, and listen to Buck Rogers now, and there is no change, no developments in the style of music. Shame
If you want to go for an influencial group now, go for the Strokes, they simply rock at the moment.
Longy, I know you will condemn me because we can never agree on this subject, but I felt the time was right to bring out another comment.
thanks.
The Kerrang awards are a load of rubbish. It's one giant back-slapping ceremony. Notice how they award Kerrang favourites. Also notice how Kerrang will not give a bad review to anyone they've interviewed or become friends with. Compare that to NME who regularly interview bans and praise them in the highest way possible and then slate their album only a few pages later.
At the moment I am listening to 'hard to explain' by the Strokes. It is a work of unbridled genius. So if you would please stop insulting my musical credibility I would be most happy.
Feeder are not the best band ever to have lived. Insomnia is a great song. Paper Faces is a great song. Hole in my Head is a great song. High is a great song. Yesterday Went too Soon is a great song. Out of the Feeder catalogue you could make a spectacular album. Unfortunately they are not currently an on-form band. I'm sticking to my guns on this one. They're new album, 'Echo Park', is not good. I bought it, and I returned within two weeks, swapping it for a Jane's Addiction album. A far better choice. You Feeder fans can hide behind the Kerrang award if you want but it's completely meaningless. And while you insult Radiohead they are a far more influential band. In the States a number of bands have just contributed to the 'Anyone can play Radiohead' compilation. They are regularly cited by bands as a major influence. Note that their back catalogue is so expansive that they can cater to the tastes of evryone from the Foo Fighters to Trent Reznor of ine Inch Nails fame. I make no pretences that Radiohead are in the form of their life, because their last two releases have been disappointing. However, live thy are still a force to be reckoned with. So what if Feeder win a Kerrang live award? If you did a poll of 1000 journalists who had been to far more gigs than you will ever go to, none of them would pick Feeder as their most memorable gig.
Face it, Feeder were good, are now middle of the road and will descend into obscurity when SK converts are seeing the mighty 'Jimmy Eat World'. Start a post after you see them, if you want to try them out download 'Bleed American' if in a rocky mood, 'Hear You Me' if in a poppy mood or 'Lucky Denver Mint' if in any other type of mood.

I know Radiohead wouldn't really come in, but still, HA!

Maybe but theres no way that Radio Head would have won the award anyway, Radio Head aren't the sot of music you will find in Kerrang. There about as likely to win it as Britney Spears is too win best Heavy Metal.
Reply to Mystique: Yeah, Just A Day is on a Feeder CD, but it's a B-Side to a single, not on an album. You can still get it though. It's on CD2 of their single "Seven Days In The Sun." You might have to order it on the net though because it was released in April. Also, it sounds A LOT better than the GT3 version. Don't get me wrong, I like the GT3 version, but the Seven Days In The Sun version is about a MILLION times better!!! No Joke!
