Vietnam has been out for a couple of weeks now, and despite the message boards on the Vietnam web site being filled with threads listing all sorts of problems, there's still no sign of a patch. Still, this is EA we're talking about, Battlefield 1942 suffered the same problems, and the extent of EA customer support seems to be "got a problem? Deal with it yourself". I'm going to be extra careful when it comes to EA game in the future.

Ah, well if you have no other game to play than Vietnam can still be fun despite it's troubles, in fact I had a go of it last night and despite, as always, getting a whoopin by the US side, I had quite a bit of fun and managed to come third out of 32 players.
But that didn't surprise me, and at the risk of sounding a bit big headed, I r0x0r at Battlefield Vietnam and it's predecessor.

I agree. I'd rather wait a week and have these bugs ironed out. Same thing annoyed me with DE: IW.

Yes i do agree with you but i have no other new games so this is all i can play except for BF: 1942 and Diablo 1.
Thanks to it being horrendously accurate, and giving M60 gunners either a rocket or grenade launcher as secondary weapon, every time I start a game half the sodding US team has chosen the m60 class to pummel the NVA into oblivion. The accuracy of the weapon is stupid, you can snipe enemies with it at a distance, bearing in mind that it's a machinegun and should therefore only gain accuracy when not moving or when prone. It's ruining the game, and until it's sorted I'm not playing.
> You need to get Battlefield: Vietnam, total quality!
Apart from the bugs and the hideously unbalanced M60 Machine Gun that for some reason is better at hitting targets from a distance than the AK 47.
> Grand Theft Auto III
> Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
> Age Of Empires II
> Downtown Run
> American McGhee's 'Alice'
> The Simpsons Hit & Run
Definetly these, plus Roller Coaster Tycoon.

Thats what they said in 1939 and look what happened!
