I like it yes, well done Sony. Its a good game, but it has major flaws and should be called GT2.2! If Sony were to release this game on the Playstation people would be in uproar, only the graphics save it from being any different to its predescessor and the fact it has 450 less cars to choose from.
Come to think of it, it more of a show off from Sony to display the Playstation 2's graphic and visual abilities.
'Oh look at the amazing sunglare effect' the man in the shop said to a customer.
'Oh well lets not play the game and look at the sun, shall we? Doffus!' I muttered.
Its not that special come to think of it. It is a great racer, but it has the same nice cars GT2 had (but less), its still got the same great control, and a great game length, infact it even has some of the same courses.
One whole year ago a game called Metropolis Street Racer was released onto a console which is no longer being made, it had practically the same or better visuals, a better progression system and overall was a better game. Yet it was completely overlooked by most and was left to only selling moderately well!
Don't get me wrong, I love the way Sony have gotten away with it, and yes its a great game, but its not worth buying a console for (a £300 console), it still has the same dodgy damage system and the oppenents still feel so computerised (so much for the chip), oh, and when the wheel does work its nice and easy..
Sony are claiming that GT3 is the fastest ever selling game, I claim it to be the fastest selling ever upgrade!
Seriously, visuals have taken over! Gone is good gameplay. Thank God for the GB Advance!
'I spit in Sony's eye and it fizz!'
er-yes
Even Sony have said that it was originally meant to show the potential of the graphical ability of the PS2!
Its a stupid stupid game compared to others!
GT3 has new championships, new tracks and the soundtrack is better than GT2 as well!!
GT3 is an awesome game-much better than GT2. I liked GT2, but got bored soon. With GT3, I'm playing it non-stop!
GT3 is amazing and when you play it alot and get to terms with it's controls your well away. MSR is another good game and whatever happened to the rumors of a PS2 release oh well.
Some of the harder mode areas of the GT mode have alot of driving to do I'm talking 2 hours ish, man better turn that feeder music off right now, The gamplay is fantastic and very different to the previous 2 thanks to the analog buttons.
The A.I is just the cars going rond in a herd in the easy moses but on the hard mode they wait for an opening to pass, return favors and i wouldn't recommend hitting their cars on purpose either haha.
Which game are you hoping will convince you that the PS2 will stand up against the GameCube in terms of quality games?
If Sony had released GT3 how it is on the original Playstation there would have been uproar!
They call it the best game on the PS2 so far.. and for this reason I find myself giving the PS2 one last chance for which it has had numerous!
I am currently neglecting GT3 as the damn game keeps giving me filthy crappy cars as prizes. Why win a TT only cup to be rewarded with an identical TT thats even the same damn colour. Plenty of things seem to be rushed and the fact that you can't put racing colours on the cars is higly dissapointing. For some reason I still like it though.
