Okay, I just made that up...

(the PS2 train Simulator story threw me off for a bit :) )

But what if...

The X-Box were to be released before Christmas (say October) this year, with a price tag of 150.00 quid...

and to have a full compliment of games avalible at launch?

Would anyone here change their minds and pick up the box?

Would anyone take another look at the new machine?

Or would you stick with what you've got... keeping with the PS2 or waiting for the GC?

KG, it'll only be a matter of time. The Xbox is so similar to a PC, an emulator will be really easy to make.

No!! I would stick with GC and PS2!! The XBOX is a regular spec PC with only the gaming bit there...OK it isn't quite like that!!

But I would only change my mind if XBOX games worked on a PC!!

yeah, hey I've got nothing against the PS2 as I am saving for one, I just believe the PC has a rightful place in gaming too.

Getting a PS2 is definitely the cheaper option overall but you've gone so far with your PC you might as well continue. I don't blame you for liking your PC, it's just that I believe I should use things as they are designed to. I wouldn't use a power drill for making a fan, as it's not supposed to. However, you've been using your power drill as a fan for years, and now you've got such a big power drill there's no point in giving up and buying a fan.

Do you get my meaning here?

actually, i've just had a thought. you must have a pc to work, and you have a PS2. I just have a PC. That must be cheaper. now give us that URL on chat.

oops, well you know what I meant. it's too late (or early whichever way you look at it) and I'm too young.

I'm working in the morning, I'm gonna be shattered.

I'll need about £600 to get it up to PS2 standard. That's twice as much. How long will that last? 2, 3 years? Then what? More money.

Wide choice it hasm but the PS2 has a very wide choice as well. Why do I need more games? I've still got GT3, Monkey 4 and Crazy Taxi to play on my PS2 yet. What I've got will carry me way into October and that's not including what I want now and what'll be released. Why spent a huge amount of money (which I can't possibly raise) so I can play games I will never have time to play? Most of the PC's top games are coming to PS2 anyway.

Look, you're never going to convince me to play games on my PC, so I don't know why you're bothering. Once I get my new CPU I'll install RA2 but that's it.

A PC is a work station. A console is a play station. Don't confuse the two.

none of these PC games appeal to me. The original Champ man games go back to the Atari and Amiga. I should know, i own it.
