OK, this is a bit of a spur of the moment post, so don’t expect it to be good.

The good:

• Absolutely fantabulistic graphics!
• Great handling
• Harder than before
• Not possible to buy a super-powerful car from the off
• More tracks
• 2001 cars
• Swish presentation
• Virtually no loading times
• Cool music
• Favorite music tracks playlist option
• Force feedback wheel available
• 6 players
• It’s Gran Turismo!
• It’s Gran Turismo!
• One more time: It’s Gran Turismo!

The bad:

• Can’t turn the music up
• New menu-like presentation isn’t as good as the last one
• Takes longer to navigate
• Not much of a sequel
• More bloody license tests!
• Not as many options

The missing:

• 300+ cars
• Second hand cars
• TVR Cerbera (allegedly). If I find that’s not there, someone will die.
• Polish
• The Corrs
• Damage (still, but I know why)
• High Speed Ring

Verdict: Very good, but shows signs of being rushed. Could have had a little more thought put into it.

I have the sound effects on and music off for the actual race, and the music on and sound effects off for the replays.

The lack of a volume control for both is a bit of an oversight, but then I always had the music so low on the previous games that it doesn't bother me much.

One of the best features is the new 'synch to music' replay option - that just looks amazing!

I don't care if it's realistic or not, it's a bloody good game.

how exactly is that giving the boot?

haha gt3 isn't realistic in that sense i mean you can smack any other car at top speed only to send them flying and i'd thought they'd be more on the fish tailing than only when you go off track.

have a good read at that topic and it's all you ninty's talking out ya childish behinds.

And while Resi is down, I'll lay the boot in:

WELL THE MICROMACHINES HAVE HORNS AND STAR IN A GAME THAT HAPPENS TO BE MUCH MORE REALISTIC THAN GT3.

Cars that crash into walls at 100 MPH only to bounce off harmlessly... how realistic...

Ha! That got him good! :-D

2 nintys in here,i told you they spend their lives trying to prove than nintendo are better than sony and all i can say is I'd rather play the PS2's mature titles than collect coins out of a toilet!!!

GT3 takes a bit of getting used too but dispite it's faults it's graphics are as good as the game.
