Well to be honest I hate most newbies like anybody else but as I was taking a trip down memory lane on the FOG I noticed there is a patern for a newbie..

1. Complains at leats once about not winning and they pretend they have tried forever when really it is only 2 days they have been on.

2. After will they threaten to leave for attention (we've all done it)

3. Make a topic on console wars

4. Plead to Ali or Tony by sucking up to let them win

5. Try to attack one of the regulars/notabeles

Theres more somewhere :)

I took a year out and it's lasted 6764 days so far and counting...

I was doing MMath as well, got a distinction in my first year, then thought "What's the point?"

Now I'm sitting here in Bristol thinking "Which game shall I play now?"

Life is so much easier when you drop out of higher education.

Hopefully head to some nice Uni to do a nice course, possibly photography related, and then spend all the money I saved in my year out on booze and young women!

It's not much of a plan I know, but it'll do me for now!

are you on the old msn?

I`m doing mathematics at Bath University. I found out yesterday (or Monday, as its now past midnight) that I am allowed to progress to the second year. I was a little worried as I had done such a small amount of work all term, but it was alright in the end. Won`t be so easy in later years though.

I wondered about a year out, but couldn`t think of anything to do in the end, and sort of got caught in the wind as everybody rushed to put in UCAS forms, so I just went ahead with it. I hope you enjoy the year out of school education and that is in fact proper education! Most people I`ve met at Bath who have had a year out are much more mature (personality wise not just age).

Do you have a plan for after your year out?

I'm a young gentleman from the city of Hull about to embark on a "year out" before heading to Uni. Though I'm of the age where I should actually be going into my second year.

But hey. I think sitting around for a year will do me good!

What about you, what do you do?

Your a Uni student as well Tarrant, I think. Is that right? I`ve forgotten where you were, but I remember you discussing it with Your Honour, and I asked if you were at Leicester as well, but you weren`t, and, well you get the picture... so what are you up to?

Fair, I shan't hold it against you.

You seem the decent sort, after all you were willing to challenge my attitude on the off chance that it was a serious comment!
