But actually we live in the real world, and these are just dreams that will never come true, because those greedy developers only care about collecting money for themselves, and they wouldn't share it.
> But still, it won't be half as successful as Sony+ Nintendo.
That remains to be seen.
Still, I would have to say I'd prefer something like Sony and Nintendo than Microsoft and Nintendo. Sony did, after all, do an excellent job with the PS1, and I don't want to see Microsoft monopolising yet another industry.
But Nintendo should not be tainted by either of these companies! They have zest and passion, a philosophy on games completely different to these two business giants. They should remain as they are.

Er ... no.
They have some actually decent RPGs to be excited about. Most of which will never see the light of day over here.
FF is a poor flagship for PAL RPGs.
Oooohh! But your name!
Yes, yes, whatever.
MS seem to have all the non-games side of things perfect.
The hardware is powerful and VERY develloper friendly with special middleware being written to cut the boring tedious side of devellopment and allow concentrating on game design.
Also, MS are one of the most experienced networking/internetworking comanies in the world and live shows this.
Nintendo, meanwhile, are the ultimate in all things game design, from perfectly shaped controllers to the most fluidly playable games around.
It'd also mean we'd have Nintendo and Rare develloping for the same games platform again.
Shigsy has already hinted that he'd like MS involved with the DS, especially when it comes to the wireless networking.
It could be the start of a BEAUTIFUL friendship...

That's just your opinion because you like online gaming, to me nothing is better than a metal gear game, same in most us gamers. In Japan, it's Fianal Fantasy all the way.

Not a console itself, just basically a CD format.
Nintendo decided that cartridges were the best way for consoles to go and ended the research project with Sony.

No, completely wrong. Sony never made any console before the PS1. And to suggest they made consoles together is false as well, because Nintendo released their consoles on their own, before Sony released their very own first console in the form of the PS1.

No. They were working together on something (no-one is really sure what, but it wasn't in the scale of a console), but the companies decided to part ways ages before Sony made the PlayStation.
> sony scraped the PS and make a new one called the PSX (the PS was

The PS was never released? What is wrong with you? The PS is the PlayStation, and if it wasn't released, then why the hell did it sell millions and millions of units? The PSX was a nickname for the PlayStation used by internet sites and magazines for promotional purposes.

Nintendo never bought out Sony. Sony have always been a bigger company than Nintendo, and I really don't know where you got this balls from. They worked together on a couple of projects, fell out, and have never worked together since. You've just talked out of your ass for the whole of the last post.
You've been very mislead, somewhere along the line.
you know that sony and nintendo where making consoles way before the PS1?
sony started on a new console the PS and nintendo dumped them because of it.
sony scraped the PS and make a new one called the PSX (the PS was never realeased)
nintendo bought sony out ages ago and there was a big row over the whole lot.

There's nothing that the PS2 has to generate excitement like Halo 2 multiplayer or Doom 3 co-op on Live. Live is about to bring the Xbox to life.
All Nintendo has are Nintendo properties and Resi, not much else :D
