Make no mistake, this is NOT a console wars topic, and anyne who turns this into will be frowned upon. I'm serious here.
This topic is only for people who have or are thinking of getting a PS2. In this thread I want to persuade people that their PS2 is a fine machine, not to be reconciled to a life of neglect. I will attempt to guide people in the right direction, show them which games to buy, inform them of future classics, both near and far, and discuss the merits and downfalls of this fine machine with a civilised and mature attitude.
So, anyone who wants to talk about why they are unhappy, step up and anyone who feels they are up for the job, join me.

Right, I'm off to find info on K-Project.
Zone Of The Enders - Took Darkness 4 hours to complete, so that's a big turn off.
Star Wars: StarFighter - Like you said, very much like Rogue Squadron... but I like the original trilogy better. :0)
Red Faction - I do want to play this, but it's not worth spending £330 on.
Smuggler's Run - Doesn't appeal to me, I'm afraid.
Shadow Of Memories - Interactive movie, is what I keep hearing.
SSX - Coming to Gamecube and PS2 in a updated version.
Summoner - Heard this before, what's this about again?
Tekken Tag Tournament - Once again, Tekken 4 is coming to GC.
Unreal Tournament - I have on PC.
Moto GP and Formula 1 2001 - Realistic racers like that don't really appeal to me either.
Devil May Cry - Perhaps.
SSX 2 - Mentioned before.
WWF: Smackdown 3 - The same as every other wrestling game...
Deus Ex - I have on PC.
Gran Turismo 3 - Uh huh. This is nice. :0)
Metal Gear Solid 2 - This is also nice.
DVD - I have a DVD player.
Price - If I read what I said above to your statements, it doesn't convince me at all that it's worth £300
Overall - I'll stick with my DC, and wait for the Gamecube. :0)
I had a look at EB's long list of PS2 titles and i have to say excluding the one's that were preorder there was only about 3 that i was even thinking of getting.
The games haven't been awful but they have been a bit poor to what we all wanted.
hardly any games are using the PS2 technology,i haven't seen anything yet that really uses the time of day feature and moto gp is the only one i've seen that makes use of the analog buttons. The PS2 is a very powerfull machine but they haven't used any of it's capabilites.
I still think their trying to follow in the footsteps of the PS1's success but how long will this last.
Also i had a look at the list of coming titles to all formats (videogames.com) PS2,gamecube and xbox and the PS2 is without a doubt the leader in decent games but nearly all of em are a long way off.
