The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
THE WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED SHORTLY
In the topic called "Goat Boy's Profile" you'll find the profiles which have been written so far for the Upwire e-mails, posted of course by Grix.
Don't look for number 8 - Ali says it would put a voodoo curse on the subject and infect the readers with eebie-jeebies.
Most of the profiles have been written by Ali, but not all.
Now it's your chance.
Write about someone who has not yet been featured, so DON'T write about these people:
1 Grix (Thraves or Brain)
2 Meka_Dragon
3 Ant
4 Sniper
5 Fantasy Meister
6 Big Sally
7 SHEEPY
9 er-no
10 Dan2K1
11 pb
12 RastaBillySkank
13 Goatboy
Competition ends during the first few days of August.
The best entry will be humerous and reasonably accurate without causing offence.
Try to keep between about 80 and 100 words.
There will only be one winner but we reserve the right to use more than one entry in our e-mail and the magazine.
Good luck. Ali will judge this one so try to spell corectley.
:)
Also known as Frank, Mongoose Man is something of a super hero here at ukchatforums. He appears in many of the FOG stories, playing crucial parts, and more often than not, saves the day. The forums without Mongoose Man would be much like chips without ketchup. Still good, but just not the same!
Tormentor of newbies, Turbonutter pedals around FOG on his trike, criticising all, as he believes he is so superior. He assumes that he knows everything, but his love of all things Playstation reveal him to be blind to the truth. Turbonutter has never, ever won Gameaday, and never will, because his posts are generally very poor indeed.
Well what more could be said about a man that names himself after a toilet? Well quite alot actually, like his tendancy to use more fullstops in his posts than any other character! Despite this Armitage Shanks posts certainly aren't sewer trash, starting quality threads on modern gaming, retro gaming, movies and more. If you get into an arguement with Armitage Shanks beware, you'll be left feeling flushed as he always comes away smelling of roses!
Often misunderstood in the forums due to his startling lack of grammer, spelling, logic or connection to this planet, Cheatguru managed to fool everyone. Obviously on a higher plane of existence than the rest of mere mortals, he ignored the taunts and threats (Goatboy guilty of most of these) and left in the night, leaving the rest of the Foggers to scrabble in the dirt, smashing the ground with jawbones in Cheatguru's monolithic shadow
You'd better watch your step on ukchatforums, stand out of line and your likely to get run down by Turbonutter! You'll see his trail all around ukchatforums, as he speeds from post to post, campaining against bad spelling, punctuation and grammar, and adding his own unique comments to each thread. Turbonutter sure is fast, but never at the expense of quality. Maybe next time you see him fly by he'll have that ellusive Gameaday prize in his grasp!
Law and order of ukchatforums, Your Honour can be seen in his wig and gown, ready to yell "Objection" at anything he doesn't agree with! Remarkably well humoured for a judge his post are witty and informative, and always worthy of a Gameaday prize. Ready to pass sentence on anything from games, to music to films, he's well respected amongst his peers, but only because they fear he'll find them in contempt if not!
Hailing from Scotland Bonus can often be seen in the ukchatforums dressed in his tartan kilt, with bagpipes under his arm. Once you learn to understand his accent you'll find that he's amongt the most knowledgeable regulars around, knowing all sorts of facts about hardware and the like. It's certainly a bonus having him around, well, as long as we keep him off those bagpipes!
What's his name? The Game. And what's his game? Winning Gameaday, that's what! Continuing his quest for worldwide fame The Game can often be found patrolling the Future of Gaming Forums, making sure that all of the posts are fair game. Always game for a laugh he manages to raise decent discussions points, The Game sure isn't lame. You get into a discussion with The Game, it's game over, and he's walking away with all of the prizes!
When he's not masterfully tackling the slopes on SSX, ssxpro can be found tackling the dopes on ukchatforums! You'll have to be quick to catch him, he dazzles us with his superb tricks before grabbing a Gameaday prize and heading back up the slopes. There's snow better poster than ssxpro, and with him around you'll certainly never be (snow)board!
