On America's CNN it was announced the Shiggy Miyamoto was involved in a car crash. His condition was listed as critical.
There is nothing solid yet but there was a huge discussion on the IGN boards people claiming they saw it on TV.

My sentiments go out to him.

I'm sure Crash Bandicoot was the first 3D platformer.

Anyway, what if it was the first one? It's not revolutionary, it's just obvious. You've got the most powerful console ever created so you're not exactly going to make it in 2D, are you? It's not clever, just the most logical thing to do. If he didn't, he should have been shot.

That's not what I call revolutionary.

Mario 64 was revolutionary because its design was superb, it was the first 3D platformer that actually worked! Its playable and has a superb learning curve...Still the best platform game even after all these years.

Lets Hope Shiggsy makes a full recovery.

Because Mario looked fatter than he ever had before.

I suppose because it was the first time Mario had been seen in proper 3D and it was very good and new for it's time.

Metal Gear Solid was revolutionary!

Can someone explain to me how Mario 64 was revolutonary by the way, as I can't really see why.

When he was back making the titles himself, they really were great. This team effort thing does seem to alter it a lot, and I would be the first to admit that A Link to the Past is better than OOT or MM.

Mario 64 was revolutional though, and I haven't seen one revolutional game from that Konami bloke of yours, Ant. :0)

Mario Kart 64 and Super Mario World on the Gameboy are the only Mazza games I have ever liked. I didn't like any of the Zelda games, I found them repetitive and boring.
